SN + antiemetic (I know, eyeroll)

So, after reading and trying my best using the comprehensive SN thread (thanks, @Stan), I have some ideas/questions regarding my plan.

My psychiatrist recently had me try Quetiapine (Seroquel)- and I still have several left- but then I switched to a different med and have since just went off all meds because I want to CTB and don't want interactions. (I only recently went off of them and wasn't on them long at all so I'm not really worried about that). My question is, can I restart the Quetiapine like the week before (in place of the meto) and still have it built up in my system enough to work as an antiemetic? Is it likely to work as strongly as other antiemetics? My plan as of now looks like this:

*take Quetiapine at least a few days before as antiemetic.

*fast from food and water 20-24hrs before and do not drink anything 2hrs before.

* (1 hr before SN)- 600mg ibuprofen as painkiller.

*(45mins before SN)- Quetiapine (again?) as antiemetic?? Possibly add some Xanax as a sedative?- both will make me sleepy though and I don't want to fall asleep before taking SN. Not sure if I should leave Xanax out but I know I'll be very anxious. (Psychiatrist only recently gave me Xanax and instead of taking it I'm saving it so I still need to test that part out- I've never tried Xanax before.)

*(30 mins before SN)- take a double dose of Tagamet or just use Milk of Magnesia (how much if using ?)

*Take SN- 20g in 50ml water (make 2 extra doses in case of vomiting)- I've been practicing with salt water to get used to salty taste.

I truly appreciate any help or advice.

Short answer - yes

fast from food and water 20-24hrs before and do not drink anything 2hrs before.
Why are you starving yourself for 24 hours? Maximum I would say is 8 hours but you know how long it takes for you to eat a meal and when you feel hungry again.
Milk of Magnesia (how much if using ?
Take either the recommended dose or double it. Your choice.

Well, I had been taking and comparing notes from several SN threads. I thought I recalled 20-24hr fast being part of the protocol in the original SN thread; guess I need to recheck that. Thank you!

@metalchic_74
I have no advice or understanding of it, but I just checked my dosage and was only prescribed the lowest dosage at the time it was prescribed and mine is only 25mg. So whether it can be substituted or not, seems like you'd have better luck with your dosage. Maybe someone can help us figure it out. I might have to just get regular antiemetics and take the risk of side effects. I'm not worried about side effects in terms of CTB but don't want them beforehand or during my attempt to CTB and the plan be ruined. Good luck to us all!

@metalchic_74 you're in the US? I heard there is a Greek seller on eBay for meto? I heard it takes some time though; not sure.
I've looked can't find it

If you already take it as part of your MH prescription it is in your system already. Personally if you are on a regimen of drugs for your treatment I would not do anything apart from the fast. As you say, the one thing you don't want to do is puke and you already have that covered. Everything else is a nice to have.

I wonder if your thoughts are the same for someone prescribed only 25mg daily of Quetiapine and only starting it a few days ahead as a sort of regime? I personally only have a partial bottle with no refills so I don't want to start using it way beforehand. I saved the partial bottle after it wasn't working for me at the time for MH. Still wondering if I can use it in place of meto if I only start 25mg dose a few days before or if I should look into something else. (Not sure if I can get a form of meto online without script.)

That i do not know I am afraid. Anything I would say is a guess and guessing is a bit reckless in this area.

I believe 25 mg quetiapine is too little. Is the starting dose of the med. But who knows.
