SN purity

SN purity. Okay, a lot of people are so worried that the air will spoil the substance a little. What if at the time of ingestion it is 80% and 20% nitrate? Wouldn't it kill? Is it too exaggerated problem in my opinion? Is not it?

An example safety data sheet pdf here states (in section 7):

"Storage Conditions: Keep container closed when not in use. Store in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep/Store away from extremely high or low temperatures and incompatible materials. Keep in fireproof place. Store locked up."
