Hi
I can't buy the recommended antiemetics and acid regulators in the UK. Can I use Promethazine and Tums or any over the counter antiemetics and acid regulator? I don't want to reverse the effect.
thanks

Metoclopramide is a common prescription only medicine and sold as Paramax (Paracetamol and Metocolopramide) in the UK. This is licensed to be given for migraines to treat the headache and nausea/ vomiting. If you tell a practitioner you've tried ibuprofen/ paracetamol and you usually take migraleve but it's not available in the pharmacy, paramax is practically the next choice. Any other antiemetic over the counter will not work- though i've read some stuff about prochlorperazine but it is harder to find and get full quantity of especially during a pandemic.

Milk of Magnesia is available OTC. As are many other acid regulators.
