Sodium nitrite is still legal in Canada. I haven't seen any legislation even making it a reportable substance, but this may vary based on your province. There are no legal repercussions for a private individual buying sodium nitrite. The problem with finding sources in Canada is that companies don't want to be implicated in any deaths, especially after the K Law situation, so they've voluntarily stopped selling to individuals. Since SN is still legal though, you are able to purchase it from overseas. If it is checked at customs, worst case would be receiving a welfare check. They cannot seize your package of legal items, and they cannot enter your home even if they think you might use the SN to ctb without a warrant on a welfare check. All you would have to do if you found a reliable overseas source & had a welfare check would be denying using the SN for ctb & do not let them enter your home
