Help SN failed attempts

I've chosen SN as my method, but was just wondering like the actual success rates as there is little publications and statistics on the effectiveness of this method.

If there's anyone who has failed with SN, would you be as so kind as to share your stories and the reasonings behind why you believe your attempt was unsuccessful. I feel it would be incredibly helpful for me and for anybody else thinking of using this method to avoid making the sames errors.

Also if anyone knows of anyone who you were certain had chose this method and was in the process of carrying it out before they became unactive, I guess could help with peace of mind that this method can be successful.

There are stories of failed attemps. Those where found and threated with in the first 30 min to a hour in some rare cases.

Or people threw up real close up to taking the SN or did not do the regime it takes for this method.

Just posted in the SN Megathread. But I've heard SN has a very salty taste. So I've experimented dissolving 20g Table Salt in 100ml water and drank it. That was 30mins ago. Certainly didn't feel like throwing up. So maybe the SN method may suit me? Who knows.

The stuff is in hams and sausages etc., might just as well have a perfectly salty meal and take 50 grams to make sure, and have a yogurt after to wash it down.

Curious to know the answer to this too. I hear so many mixed things, altho mainly positive about SN but anything negative makes me rethink everything!!

I mean I don't think table salt is nearly as toxic a substance but I guess it's worth a try just to see the taste, imo it doesn't matter how bad something tastes if you only have to drink 50-100ml of it anyway tbh, it could taste like vomit and ide be able to grin and bear it if it gave the desired results

To be honest 20g of salt in 100ml water wasn't bad. It was actually 20.2g table salt. I used digital scales.

That's normal, people don't want to die a horrible death - so they keep checking. It usually takes a year at least to make a decision, the seriously desperate jump off a high building. Of the others, many pondered for so long that they died of natural deaths I hear ;)

Sodium bicarbonate may be a helpful addition; it helps indigestion, can one take a protein pump inhibitor like Nexium with SN?

I think proton pump inhibitors should be avoided so I'm told.

Idk better to be safe and get tagamet or just generic cimetidine as per pph

I'm not sure; but sodium bicarb. can be bought for one dollar in any supermarket. The dose with dinner would be 1/2 tsp. in half a glass of water; but that just to aid digestion. I would think we would need more precise information for a SN method.

If you look at the very top of the page there's a WIKI you can click on. It has vey good information on a couple of methods - SN is one. You have to follow the exact steps and ingredients, if you are serious about ctb. It's not appropriate as a gesture. There have been many people here who were either successful with this method or just banned themselves. Their PMs kept disappearing out of my box. Remember, people who failed are the ones who tend to come back. And anyone can write anything about whether they did every step. Idk how much drinking regular salt water would help - any ideas? I'd like to hear them.

I tried regular salt water just to see if I could drink something what was very salty. I was ok with it.
When I try the SN I will follow the 48hr regime with Meto and Antacid.

Sorry to ask another question. In regards to stomach acidity. Supposedly it is caused by histamine. Is this correct?

Yeah the drugs you take to raise it are anti histamines if you look on the wiki there are two drugs listed one is tagamet (cimetidine) and there's another which is just a more modern version of the drug that does the same thing, you need either one of them for the method to work

It's zantac (ranitidine) so you need either of those drugs, the first is the brand name, the brackets is just the generic name for the drug they contain.

If I'm not mistaken, Benadryl is an anti histamine sold over the counter, sold as diphenhydramine as a sleeping medication, Zantac is, I think in the same category as Nexium, and are also antacids. I though I saw an answer that said antacids should not be taken?
