SN Excuses

Im planning on CTB with SN but i need to come up with an excuse if it shows up at my door and my sister wonders what it is. I usually always open my parcels in front of her cause i liked showing her what i got (Shoes, Merch ect) But for obvious reasons i don't want to, but she'll become sus.

So what are some excuses. I was thinking about saying i'd use it to cure meat, but lets be real, im a 20yr old Female, who has no interest or has ever mentioned wanting to cure meat.

So if ya'll could please help me out.

I think you can get away without opening it. Just be in a hurry or really busy, make up what it is and say you'll open it later. Then "forget" and she probably will too. I think you've worked up the situation in your head but reality will be a non-event.

I told my s/o that it was like special epsom salts and supposed to be good for the skin, he knows nothing about skin care and didn't press further because it doesn't interest him. If you go with this just make sure she doesn't use it

For the moment I don't feel like I have a good suggestion, just wanted to say that saying it's a surprise gift would only make it more suspect if the op doesn't open it right away in front of her sister...

Also it's a danger to link the product with any cosmetic procedure, as the sister might become interested too. Some kind of salt sounds good, realistic (and it's true!) but I guess the purpose of it has to be something less shareable. If you love plants and everybody else doesn't really care about them, maybe say it's for the flowers?

Yes, I responded to that. People who love to open deliveries in front of family are even more excited to open gifts in their presence (I think...) and not doing so would seem off.

If you mean to open it, then the op would have to feign impatience, curiosity and surprise, and all of these are hard to feign, and easy to be unnatural with it or worse, to believe you succeeded when you didn't. And after opening, op would have to show either bewilderment or understanding (oh, this is x for y, which would bring her to square one with the excuse). Exhausting

Unless the sister is a relaxed person and doesn't pay much attention to details. Then all I said is overthinking.

Sodium Nitrite? Damn, was supposed to be Sodium Nitrate so as to make homegrown crystals. Was going to attempt to make snowflakes as a Christmas thing, oh well, already have this and spent the money on it......

Im pretty reserved, but i think if i said that she'd be like whatt, and tell my whole family and they'd keep questioning me about that. Im very private about my life even towards my family. But thanks for that anyways.

I've honestly been feeling this way since i was 15. Its funny cause i don't have bad parents, i don't live in poverty or anything and i have friends but im just not happy. Im surrounded by all these people but i still feel alone.. you know, i don't really feel much.
I was listening to this song and there was this lyric that really summed up how i feel

I just feel like there isn't anything here for me.
I don't know. I guess my sadness outweighs my happiness.
