Hi all,
I'm a longtime lurker. I have a few questions regarding SN enemas.
I've had issues procuring an anti-emetic. US Customs somehow intercepted my package so I'm not exactly comfortable reordering from a different international vendor as my address is probably flagged now.
I know that the oral bioavailability of SN is 90-95%—that's ridiculously high for any substance so I understand why a lot of people are not thinking about shoving it up their ass. From a bioavailability standpoint, there's not much point to it.
With that said, rectal administration seems to hypothetically get past the issue of vomiting SN out of your system, even if you do become nauseous and vomit.
My main concern is that Sodium Nitrite could potentially produce laxative effects. I know that Sodium Phosphate is used as a laxative and produces a bowel movement usually within 1-4 minutes.
In the event that SN produces a similar effect in the body when inserted into the rectum, 1-4 minutes doesn't seem to be a long enough time for sufficient absorption to take place. In comparison, reports of people vomiting oral solutions up to 20 minutes later appear to be enough for the method to fail—and that's with a 90-95% oral bioavailability.
I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the potential laxative effects (or lack thereof) of SN or if anyone had any information on the duration of absorption when SN is administered rectally?
I know this a is long shot, but any and all research I've conducted has lead to nothing of any value.
