SN. Does Sodium Bicarbonate(baking soda) work as antacid?

Hi, I am wondering if Sodium Bicarbonate(baking soda) works as antacid. (Tagamet and other antacids require prescription in my country.)

I actually drink it all the time with water when I get acid reflux it works immediately .it's pretty easy to be honest. I don't know if it works for SN though

Yes. Sodium bicarbonate in general can be used as an antacid, however in reference to SN there's been some conflicting information to come out in the last year or so. Apparently the new info says that Sodium Bicarbonate counters SN in some way. I need to do a little more research to know for certain if this is true or not, but I have come across sources saying this.
