How unreliable is the sodium nitrite from Amazon ?

I wouldn't trust amazon enough to buy a folding ladder from them these days, let alone SN.

It won't be pure, as Amazon got sued if I remember correctly for selling SN. Also after the restrictions that were imposed on it I don't think it will be easy to find on the big markets like Amazon.

Fake reviews are rampant. You cant even trust products with above 4.5 star ratings anymore, products are not as advertized. You don't even know where the items come from either, could be some Chinese or Indian scammers for all you know.

There is good stuff on Amazon, it's just hit or miss. But they stopped having quality control a while back.

If you don't want to risk a botched suicide, I dont see why you would go through with such an unreliable vendor. Remember amazon isn't actually selling anything, they are just the middleman. It's a thinly veiled ebay.

It also depends on where you are located. Amazon in the UK does not sell it at all after it had serious backlash for selling SN and a spate of deaths occurred from it.
If it was as easy as purchasing off Amazon, most of us wouldn't have searched every corner of this forum to track down and locate DMC to purchase there.
You may find things like nitrite salt a little easier to purchase but that's not the same as SN, and the actual NaNo2 content is so low.

From the look of it, the only nitrite (NaNo2) available is for business account holders. The others appears to be nitrate (NaNo3) which is not what you want. I'd avoid Amazon.

Clueless, sorry. I'm UK based. Just make sure you check the info for purity. I'm sure someone else posted the label for the one it shows on Amazon on the MegaThread. Worth popping back to that, go to the last page and work backwards to double check.
