I don't have any experience with such bugs myself, but it sounds like your clothes are not their only home. If the bugs can survive in fabrics then take care of any carpets, rugs, mattresses, doormats, towels and other such things too.

Maybe you'll be able to find a solution if you contact someone who specialises in pest/insect control.

1. Did he actually say there was nothing wrong/you were perfectly healthy or just that it was something minor? And if it's the latter, what was the diagnosis?
2. What are your exact symptoms?
itching, scarring, redness

That's too vague, I'm afraid.
1. Does your skin still remain irritated even if you don't scratch/rub/touch it for 24 hours (or longer)?
2. Have you recently purchased any new clothes, bedsheets or shampoo/soap/shower gel/etc.? Anything that could cause contact dermatitis?
3. Is your skin dry or wet? Are there any vesicles (blisters) or anything else unusual?
4. What does this test say?

It could be psychological as mentioned by Anuk, but since you have redness and scarring, it is probably more likely to be physiological, but not necessarily, there are cases of psychological causes accompanied by rash and such.
It's called formication and most often is a result of anaemia, diabetes, or vitamin B12 deficiency. Could also be due to hyperthyroidism (over active thyroid), hepatitis, hiv, etc, or even poisoning from chemicals on clothes, that's usually hard to detect.
I had it due to anaemia several times, but didn't have redness or scarring. When I talk to any doctor about it, they usually think about diabetes first (esp. if any rash is present), then see my anaemia, but I guess in their practice it's most often due to diabetes.

Yeah, agree with Skathon, now it sounds more like delusional parasitosis. Maybe caused by mold you mentioned, maybe not. It's strange how doctor brushed it off. Even if they think it's delusional, there are many reasons for that to happen, so it needs further investigation.

I don't do these things but this terrible itching and redness remains the same. you gave me a good idea so maybe I will stop showering. whole house needs to be purged.

Well, since you you don't scratch it, maybe infectionist would help, since dermatologist didn't. Infectionist should know many bugs/infections that could cause it, maybe dermatologist just thought it's not in their field of expertise, so they disregarded it.

What do the bugs look like? Do they look like tiny little threads? Could be Morgellons.. dermatologist wouldn't know anything about that.
