[Making this post just of of thin curiosity, nothing past it, not aiming for chaos or anything]

I'm rather "new" here and know this site has been on for quite some time now and I started to see new people. Everyone has their reasons and goals here however it's still an internet forum, and we all know what the ability to "anonymously" act does to people at times so my question (to people more experienced than me here) is:

Has there been any notable events of people trolling or putting up fake identities here on purpose with false information or similar?

I think personally that coming here to ruin a safe place for others is bad taste to say the least, but has it happened before?

There was one dude, several months ago, who made an account with the intent of trolling users on here. They were banned not too long after joining I think.

Way back in 2020 there was a user named BipolarGuy who started as a member but ended up butting heads with a lot of other people to the point where eventually he got banned so in retaliation he allied himself with some of the people who are against this site. In the months after he had another account on here this time he disguised himself as LittleAmy and he would pretend to try to lure people into saying stuff that would seem alarming to outsiders without context. His other true purpose was thankfully shut down whatever it was but it's still possible he could be somewhere still lurking around even today.

I think there was a former user got jail time for killing another member. When I remember it correctly he came from Scotland (?). There were news reports about it. And people could match the user to the reporting. Maybe I could find it with some research.

Can anyone help with the right thread? I don't find it.

I saw something about that in another thread. And I have to say, as far as I can tell, the admin and mods here do a spectacular job. Any questions or concerns I have had (only a couple, literally) have been dealt with quickly and discreetly. I feel safer here than I do a lot of places irl. Oddly enough. Lol

You are probably on phone and tried to copy the link at the top, part of the link deemed uninteresting was hidden by '...' which provided an incorrect link. To copy a link on your phone you must go to "share" then "copy" to avoid this phenomenon
To find the original link: the only part of the link necessary is the number after the ., here: 64701, so if part of the link is missing just add 'sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/' + the number to restore the original link. It is therefore also possible to find a random thread by putting a random number

He went under one of @sserafim threads and posted a picture of a naked japanese lady in a bathtub, covered in blood and cum. She might have been dead, idk. He then tried to excuse it by claiming that he was just showing a photo of what she wants. Dude was fucking creepy...

As you would expect, he got banned for it.

I have no clue. I think he just likes being edgy, tbh. He has posted a gif from this video made by some dude who decapitated his father's head (he was a weird Trump supporter and made a video where he says a bunch of nonsense), though he never actually showed the head in the gif so you wouldn't get the reference unless you already knew about it. I thought it just meant to be some stupid edgy type of shit and thought it was a bit funny. Now looking back on it, I should have seen it as a red flag...

I don't know any in particular but a nice rule of thumb to have is to not trust anybody blindly. Even on this site, there are bound to be bad people in disguise as that's just how it works on the internet. Just because we're all suicidal and can say things here which we can't say elsewhere in society doesn't mean that everybody here is automatically trustworthy with everything
