Licenses are required for less important resonsabilities. That is an argument for it. The argument against it would be that gov would decide and then poor people wouldn't procreate.

I've heard this discussion before a few times. I can honestly see both sides to it. I think big government already has enough control though. You know they'd abuse this system and find a way to tax us even further.

That's an interesting question, one Ive never really thought about honestly. Some parents should definitely been subjected to some kind of exam before procreating..They were turds, didn't take care of the turds they created, and Im now surrounded by turds.(I may likely be considered one of those myself)

That said, how would there be any enforcement?Put them in jail for breeding without a license? And what happens to what they illegally created? The government shouldn't affect our lives.Im for less government regulation not more..After all isn't what we were ultimately put here to do is procreate?

Interesting question none the less.People are gonna be humping no matter license or regulated or not.Its in our nature.

China's doing that and it's not going very well.
But then again, China isn't going very well in general.

I hear what you're saying, but the problem with that is it essentially requires approval from government—I can't stand government as they seem to be overly intrusive in personal lives. And government officials can be some of the dumbest and sickest assholes one could possibly meet—and I'm speaking about the Western World, not just China.

I understand too that there are people that should not have children, but running after government for a solution is demanding tyranny for all.

Nothing inherently wrong with that concept, the problem is with this beast system that's dictated on us even when we know in our hearts it's wrong. This idea wouldn't even need to come to fruition in a world freed from evil & fear. Both of which need not exist for there to be true balance.

This is a conversation that could go of either two ways,as a parent you would think I am one to sit and scream we should be allowed to pro create, no matter what,
When in realty, I believe that things need to be limited, society needs to learn when enough is enough, YET it depends on a person's circumstance.
I created 2 lifes, that ended up going to another, I gave them a chance to be a parent when they would never have had the chance otherwise,
at what point does pregnancy become one that should be aborted because a licence says so, to when that person carrying is gifting the life to another?

How could you force people to get a license in order to be a parent?

You can't regulate who people choose to fuck and what if a woman gets pregnant who doesn't/is unable to get a license? Force her to get an abortion? Force her to give her kid up to adoption?

Not only are both solutions cruel, but we already have too many kids in orphanages.

Some things you can't fix, the best you can do is keeping pushing forward and hope that over time there is marginal improvement.

Make lots of babies and die at 30 of natural causes. Everything would remain in balance and the short time we had here would actually be worth living

I don't think that would solve anything and it would be impossible, anyway, to devise a test that accurately predicts human behaviour:

Some people rise to the challenge of having children, others succumb to it.

Imo, it's one of those situations you can't know what it will be like, until you find yourself in it.

License to be, given all the crap I've seen, does seem good, but the catch is like basically the others have said. And we all know people will just have sex without thought of getting pregnant so there wouldn't be a license. Actually short of mandated vasectomies of all men, with then approval to get it undone (because it'd be re-done after a period, or would possibly have to), there'd be no 'guaranteed' way to stop it... even then they'd have to store some of their 'seed' (as some say lol) just in case they became sterile after over the years.

I believe it's better to do things like free parenting classes and such, in person preferred, but also online as mandatory--like even before someone is pregnant or thinking of it. Just so many be people realize things beforehand. Really it's like some people didn't have to carry around a 5lb bag (was it 5? can't remember now) of flour non-stop in high school just so they could get the idea of how much effort it'd be to care for a baby.

Because some people don't know shooting up heroin and hiding it in your baby's crib is a bad thing (they lost custody of their child), or that punching your baby in the face isn't a bad thing when it cries because they don't know babies cry or what it sounds like apparently (baby died, guy's went to prison), or who knows what. But maybe if they were told stuff like that was bad, it might not happen.

I'd say it wouldn't be impossible to implement this at all. There are already contraceptive implants for women.

I think this is for sure a cool concept, but I think that if you're going to be a parent, you should have you're s*** together and know that you'll fight for your child no matter the circumstance. Period :)

And that's on deadbeat parents

No. We are talking about forcing people to get medical procedures, forcing people to take hormones, forcing people to somehow not have sex. That infringes on human rights and I'm not about that. The only thing I would support is mandatory sterilization of pedophiles or physically abusive parents, and even then that's still walking a fine line because of our corrupt justice system...

Sorry, but it's a whole lot of NOPE from me.

At the very least I hope would be parents are very aware about the commitment of becoming a parent and raising children. Seems like there's plenty of deadbeat parents that don't give 2 fucks about the lives they bring into this world that leads to neglect and abuse from them.
