• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

Question about shotgun in mouth (00 buckshot) Excuse my ignorance but are we shooting into the hard palate or soft palate? Might be related, but I see conflicting information on angle. I think I've seen like 12 degrees and 45 degrees referenced. Any help? I posted on the Megathread but no response.

Also, is it fair to say that neither issue matters too much with a shotgun and 00 buckshot?

I believe you want to be aiming at the soft palate.

With buckshot, doubt it matters, really. Here's a ref, but angle isn't defined.

the bigger the caliber the less (within reasonable limits) angle matters.-a slightly upward angle of mathematically about 20 to 30 degrees will do.This is nothing to do with hard or soft palate at all, taking into consideration the wide scale of anatomical variances.
I believe you want to be aiming at the soft palate.
Imho this question deserves a knowledgable or rather science-based answer instead of a mere assumption! No offense intended, but beliefs belong-if at all-in church

Sorry. This is what I've read. I'm not a scientist so 🤷‍♀️

Read thru that firearm megathread - even the beginning of it - yes in the mouth pointed a little upward - and no, i don't think the angle is too critically important with a 12 gauge (thats probably what you have) 00 buckshot in the mouth. Has *anyone* ever survived that? Yes i know ppl have survived the under the chin thing. That's the method that most commonly gets messed up. But in the mouth, i would thing the gas blast alone would destroy your head, never mind the shell itself! Once i read that if you fill your mouth with water first your whole head would explode, but i only read that once and I don't know if it's true, nor do I quite know how you'd go about holding water in your mouth plus a shotgun barrel.

The angle is not that important when it comes to a 12 gauge shotgun, so it probably shouldn't matter too much.

Agreed 110% .... With a 12ga. The angle won't matter too much. So long as you don't put the barrel to your chin or some stupid shit, it will be Game Over.

Beyond the angle, it's also worth comparing the ballistic difference in size and pellet density between the different types of Buckshot shells:

At point-blank range 00 Buckshot acts more as a solid slug, while the #1 Buckshot has more pellets creating a wider spread with more wound channels.

At point blank range they all act like a solid slug. It takes considerable distance before they spread apart. I don't suppose it makes any difference whether you use bird shot or buckshot or a slug. I'd choose the biggest shell my shotgun could handle. In a 12 guage maybe 3 or 3 1/2" . But that probably doesn't matter either. Any shotgun deep in the mouth and pointed a little upward should give you a quick boost to the next world. So far I haven't mustered up the courage to pull the trigger, though. Just moving my finger one little inch...so hard...

How much force is required to pull the trigger on the shotgun and anything I can do to prevent flinchjng

to prevent flinching i would practice dry firing as much as i can. dry firing is firing the shotgun without any ammo and moving finger very slowly on trigger, keeping everything else perfectly still .

found this . looks like the brain is destroyed 2 milliseconds to 4 milliseconds after shotgun slug hits skull at point blank range. so imo no pain . the brain can't register pain in 2 ms nor even 4ms. the brain will be at least partly destroyed in that time so can't function to create pain imo.

the link below says the earliest time pain is registered in the brain is 100ms which is far above the 6 ms the brain is destroyed already by the shotgun slug

100 milliseconds is 1/10 of the second which seems about right but the brain is already destroyed as that image showed 6 milliseconds already destroyed

This image is really small but at the link above you can see a bigger image

Just really hard to hit that small spot.

Boy do I wish I could stomach using a shotgun. I'd like to be dead in 2 to 4 milliseconds.

If you know: a) is dry firing the same trigger pressure as live firing (I assume it is) and b) does one hold the shotgun upside down and and pull the trigger with the thumb?

Yeah i think it's the same trigger pressure .

i think it's just aiming for the brainstem no matter how you hold the shotgun . look at images of the brainstem brain inside the skull and make sure the barrel is pointed to the brainstem

Stomach meaning what? Just the process/ability to do or concern about the aftermath/mess? I ask because I do vacilitate between exit bag and shotgun. If I knew exit bag would work with no gasping for air I would do that, but I question that and then think, just use a fucking shotgun to be sure you ctb

In the moment I don't think the mess would be much of a concern. I'm more like. I have to buy a shotgun? I have to use a shotgun? I've never even looked at a shotgun before. Ive never seen one in person. I don't know how to store it, how to hide it, where to do either of those things! I also feel less like I look like i'm ready to blow my own head off. But y'know. I don't want to fuck it up, either.

Also yeah exit bags scare me a lot. The margin for error is so huge in comparison, and all the instructions I've found are way too convoluted for me in any state to do properly. At least, I'm not confident I could.

I'm with you on guns. Don't own and never used one. Have no idea how to load, etc. But, unlike so many folks here, I'm guess I'm lucky I can get one living in the US, and they are very lethal so that's my draw. Unfortunately no methods are very appealing. Honestly, it's cruel that we all have to resort to shit like this. I'm 55. I feel like I should be able to just say to the government, I'm done/all good, let a doctor take me out.
