The Missing Cat:
The family cat had been missing since evening, everyone was on edge, the only son volunteered to look for it during his routine midnight jog at the park. Once he left, his family began gossiping about him. "That boy doesn't ever interact with anyone, he's a complete loner, if that pussy isn't found soon we might have to take him to a mental hospital." his mother worries. "Let's hope it doesn't come to that, dial 9-1-1 and get a search party started, I'll post online and set up a reward for whoever finds our furry friend". The Dad says.
When the son finally arrives at the park, he finds police roaming around it everywhere, so he decides to head to a neighboring park instead to avoid any potential trouble. While on his jog, he's chased by a loose pit bull that forces him to climb a tree to avoid getting bitten. Here he coincidentally finds his lost family cat. It fills him with joy and spontaneously tries to pet it, this startles the cat and leads it to lose its grip on one of the branches and falls down. The pit bull takes notice and proceeds to tear it apart. It fills the boys' eyes with shock and horror as he watches, but he knows he can't stay here much longer either if he doesn't escape right now. He might end up like his cat, he must not live in fear and take this opportunity to run for his life while it's still there. He runs a few kilometers back to where the police were gathered and shouts "Please help me! my cat is being eaten alive by a wild dog!" This grabs the attention of two officers, who heads to his side and asks what's going on. The boy tells them everything, how he was only here because he was just looking for his cat, how the dog randomly came out of nowhere, and how he might have lost his one and only family in the world. This story compels the policeman to act, and they quickly rush to the described location with the boy, however, when they get there, they realize it was already too late... The cat was already dead and the dog was nowhere to be seen. The boy begins to cry, his one and only friend was gone from the world — just like that. It was so unfair, so random, so evil(!) — what a cruel world he had lived in; even retribution was now out of reach.
The policemen had never seen someone with so much despair. A couple of weeks later he killed himself.
