I have a piece of shit dr(like most of us I'm sure). I told my dr I need time off of work because I sleep three hours a night and work a full time and a part time job. Stupid freakin dr must've never heard me mention that I have two jobs and I told her that I want to take some time off from the part time job and she gives me two weeks and insists it's important to keep working!
Like, I am already working 50 hours a week...is it necessary to work more?! I was hoping for at least a month off but she only gave me two weeks, what a fucking asshole.

Anyone else have a fucking asshole for a dr?

peace/hugs❤

I'm amazed you can keep a job on so little sleep.
These past four years I've been utterly incapable.

I've only ever met two doctors with the ability to listen.
And one of them was an archaeologist.:heh:

How the hell are you working 50 hours a week and not getting any sleep?

There's something missing there. Not getting sleep fits 60+ hour work weeks.

Yes, going to work is important because it helps with normality and keeping busy.

I'm currently working at least sixty hours a week on three hours of sleep a night. Last summer I worked 80 hours a week for four months straight and only one day off in those four months. That was 120 days straight, on three hours sleep a night

That lack of sleep is not good and will contribute to you feeling terrible.

You may want to analyze why you're working like that. Excess work can be seen as a way to keep yourself from processing and dealing with stuff. Part of it is keeping busy as a distraction. Part of it is using it as a focus to which you can attribute challenges in your life. It's much easier, for example, to blame and deal with a hangover than it is to deal with the reasons for getting the hangover in the first place.

In any case, those hours and lack of sleep will catch up with you.
