Sh by strangling myself?

Is it possible? Can i pass out? And if yes does it give permanent damage?
Sometimes i have an urge to sh when i'm really angry and frustrated, but i don't want have permanent damage or have scars so i won't cut.
One time i tried punching my head very hard multiple times, i was stunned for a few seconds and my vision was all white, and i had bad headaches the following days so it wasn't a very good idea.
So i'm wondering if self strangulation is feasible. I want to do it until i pass out.

No permanent damage, but you'll instinctively loosen the grip as soon as you feel yourself passing out, so no fainting either, assuming you want to use hands. Using a ligature isn't the best idea for SH. It's a terrible idea, in fact.
