Hi everyone,

Please note: I am using AI to help me translate and structure this message to ensure my intent is clear. I read and understand English perfectly, but I find it difficult to express complex emotions and technical details accurately in this language. Thank you for your understanding. (My native language is spanish)

I am reaching out to this community because I value the non-judgmental and responsible approach here. I am currently facing a terminal illness. I have reached a place of peace regarding my situation, and I am focused on maintaining control over my final days to avoid unnecessary suffering.

I have a specific concern that I'm struggling with: the future of my three senior dogs. They are my world, and two of them have significant health issues. I want to including them in my plans to ensure they don't face abandonment or a decline in their quality of life after I'm gone, as I don't have a support system that can provide the specific care they need.

I am looking for specific guidance on methods that would allow for a simultaneous process. My priority is a peaceful, painless, and dignified exit for both my dogs and myself.

I am currently considering a method involving Carbon Monoxide (CO). My plan is to use a vehicle in a confined space, using a hose to direct the exhaust into the interior and sealing the windows. I plan to use sleeping aids for myself and my three dogs beforehand to ensure we are all deeply asleep.

I have specific technical questions regarding this:
I am aware that modern catalytic converters significantly reduce CO output. Is the 'hose method' still considered reliable with a modern vehicle, or are there specific steps needed to ensure it works effectively and quickly?

What type of sedatives or sleeping aids are best to ensure the dogs stay completely calm and deeply asleep throughout the process without causing nausea?
My absolute priority is that they don't experience any respiratory distress or 'air hunger' before falling unconscious.

I am looking for technical confirmation on whether this setup (CO via hose in a modern vehicle) is foolproof or if there is a high risk of failure due to the catalytic converter, as I cannot afford an incomplete or distressing outcome for my dogs or myself.

Thank you for providing a space where I can discuss this openly.

I don't think it is ok to decide about life of other beings even if they are your dogs.
Why not to try to find someone who can take care of them and ensure them good quality of life?
I do not think any dog can be suicidal...

What about your healthy dog? Will you just murder him? That would be awful :(

A modern vehicle won't work well for this. You'll need a better source for CO than the exhaust because of catalytic converters.

As for your dogs - I don't agree with you on taking them with you like that. I don't know their health but if they are as sickly as you seem to say and if they are elderly and you want them put to sleep they have better, safer, more painless options than you do. Take them to the vet and have it done right if you don't think they'll make it much longer. That's not out of the ordinary really.

Hell - Maybe you can distract the vet and steal the supplies you need for yourself. Highly doubtful but wouldn't that be handy.

Do not steal from vet. He can have problems later if police finds out where you get the drugs from.

Mainly a joke. They keep that shit locked up and out of reach I'm sure.

Only people who I've seen being careless with a kill shot have been large animal vets in the field. He doesn't seem to have horses or cows
