Help Science project that requires SN as an excuse to get it?

I'm in college, and they have a lab but I don't know if I could request SN as a material for some kind of chemistry project that I would be supposedly doing, however, I have no idea if there's even any kind of experiment I can make up as the reason for them to give me the SN.

Does anyone know if there's some kind of science project that I could do that requires SN as a material?

I mean, i just looked it up and apparently SN is used to destroy excess sodium azide in laboratories so i guess you could use that as an excuse to buy SN. I think its a pretty viable reason, especially considering that they have a lab in your college.
