Earning money is a big problem for me. Working makes me really depressed. For now i am doing fine financially but this will change if i still cannot work.
I think the next years won't be that hard for me financially. But i am really afraid of the future. I need hope in order not to tumble into a deep depression. There are some reasons not to commit suicide immediatly. It can happen a lot in the following years. But my sorrows overwhelm me. I will try a lot in order to live as long as possible.
Do you know this situation that you only can distract yourself because solving your problems is too hard to manage?

I feel you. I am also very afraid of the future. Right now, I'm a student and my parents help me tremendously, but I am afraid once I graduate, I will have a hard time looking after myself. I have very bad social anxiety which really affects my getting a job. I'm scared to ask for a job, I'm scared of clerk jobs, I'm a mess.
solving my anxiety is a huge problem for me, so I usually run away from those problems while knowing it gets harder the more I run away from it...

I have hope that I can try to share with you...

I feel like so many people distract themselves because solving their problems is too tough to manage :(

My therapist taught me that actually we can be afraid of just the THOUGHT itself which is a big part of what gets us stuck. In our mind, thinking about certain things will trigger anxiety associated with that thing. If we avoid these anxious thoughts, we will reinforce that fear and make it worse!

This is a big part of how your neural pathways develop. If you avoid fearful activity habitually, your brain will form neural pathways away from fearful areas and towards areas of comfort. Practicing facing your fears in a healthy way is critical to healthy growth!

Hard work WILL pay off in the end. You've got this. :) ❤

The future terrifies me, something about the unknown aspect of it just rattles me. I would love a crystal ball just so I could see how things are gonna pan out for me. But on the flip side, I wish I had a time machine cos the past is just as scary.

I'm devestated by the past, horrified at the present and petrified of the future.

I get stressed out about the future too. I am too young to have money troubles now but in the future having a large depressed episode and not being able to work could cause serious problems for me. It is a big worry.
