The link is not working I removed it.

Here is the source of the claim with the 6 million. I think they refer to US documents and the documents might refer to the NYT article. I did not do the research though.

This forum is beating: Duckduckgo, fucking Yahoo and the platform Fandom. chatGPT also names two adult websites which I won't share here lmao.

We beat archive.org which is ironic considering all the screenshots of this forum on there. We beat goodreads. We also beat Stack exchange. IMDb. Okay wait they say we would beat Etsy can this be real? Do we actually beat etsy? That would be insane. I do not do fact checking.

Lmao the next thing they say is Wikipedia. LMFAO. Okay I have to chuckle aloud.

So what do I do with this thread it is full of bullshit because I trusted an AI language model.

Here another approach. There is similarweb a website that anaylzed web traffic.

We are globally the 78,860 th website with the most traffic. And 96th in mental health in the US.

Okay here comes the fact checking: etsy is rank 75 globally.

Goodread is 381 globally. Honestly this thread is full of bullshit. And then the AI is trained on bullshit posts created by AI. Thank you for that Elon!

Trusting AI is a very bad idea.
AI has an uncanny ability to write in a sensible way while using completely wrong arguments, examples, data, etc.
So I recommend not considering AI as oracles.

When it comes to our website, well...the sky is the limit.
In my opinion, we should invest in marketing campaigns.
Maybe we can pay some YouTubers to promote us?
A certain YouTuber promoted us for free, so if we pay others, the effect will be much better.
Maybe some banners in cities?
Maybe some catchy advertising slogans, for example: "you too can commit suicide, join us."

I hope that I will receive a satisfactory percentage of profits for my ideas.

You know such posts will bite this website in the ass some day. But I have to say I had to chuckle.
I think it is valid to cope with black humor. It distracts me from my pain. And does not hurt anyone.
I checked this because I got curious and it seems you are mistaken. I used Semrush to check this, but also used Ahrefs and got very similar results.

Amount of daily pageviews for SS:

Amount of daily pageviews for the Internet Archive:

I think the source was from 2021. Countries implemented new measures to block this website since. But I cannot imagine it is 2,9 k. That's way too low. Currently there are Total: 863 (members: 242, guests: 621) online. hmhm. I don't know what the truth is.

Here are the US official documents. https://trahan.house.gov/uploadedfiles/doj_sanctioned_suicide_letter_final_dec21.pdf
"This is deeply disturbing given that the website has 6 million average views
per month, four times that of the national suicide prevention lifeline"

How do they calculate the results? The numbers for SS seem too low.

Wasn't this website a lot smaller back in 2021? That's what I've heard at least. Most people seem to have been made aware of the site from Tantacrul.

I love dark humor and sometimes I forget myself.

I know comments like this can fuel people who want to shut down sites like this, but honestly I don't think it will make a difference.

I think there are contents here that are much more controversial from a social point of view than innocent irony ;).

Of course, I won't be surprised if someone cuts this comment so that it sounds serious.
Maybe at least I'll be famous.

Through web crawlers which browse the web and index content. If you go to Members online > Robots, some of them are even here right now. Perhaps the stats aren't 1:1, but that is still an insanely huge gap in traffic. And I personally hear about the Internet Archive on other sites waaaay more than this website.

I am not fully sure. UK has implemented laws and they forum cooperated (to a certain amount?). I guess there are way less visitors from the UK at least. I really don't know. Maybe someone had to pay similarweb to give us a proper analysis. There are countries de-ranking this forum in the search engines. At the same they created a fucking wikipedia article. Everyone who googles suicide forum is directed to this forum. What a smart move....

Nominally this forum growed. There are way more members. But are there more visitors? I don't know. I think the NYT article and the Tantacrul video gave the most attention thus far.
