I've done a bit of research.. would enough salt mixed with water cause death? I've been thinking of this for a while now, if anyone could help me and tell me if this is a good or bad way, that'd be nice. Thank you.

(table salt)

Is it possible to overdose on salt? Fatal salt overdoses are rare, as they require people to consume amounts of salt nearing 0.2–0.5 grams per pound (0.5–1 gram per kg) of body weight. This would amount to 35–70 grams of salt for a person weighing 154 pounds (70 kg)

Salt poisoning is an intoxication resulting from the excessive intake of sodium (usually as sodium chloride) in either solid form or in solution (saline water, including brine, brackish water, or seawater). Salt poisoning sufficient to produce severe symptoms is rare, and lethal salt poisoning is possible but even rarer. The lethal dose of table salt is roughly 0.5-1g per kg of body weight.[

I was also thinking about doing this too if you decide if you are going to do it and how I will be attentive..

If you're on a low calorie diet, salt can actually help you to stabilize your system and it works like magic. So relying on salt to kill you is the last thing I would rely on tbh. Not a doctor or an expert, but if this really was your last option, I would drink 2 liters of vodka and try to gulp as much salt as possible. AND I would probably die from alcohol overdose, not from the salt.

I heard about a case from my country. The girl attempted suicide by overdosing on ketonal (little, only few tabs). Rescuers gave her salt water to drink to induce vomiting. She didn't throw up. They left her and the next day the family brought her unconscious to the hospital, she had a brain hemorrhage and hypernatremia, she died.

I once tried to self-harm by greatly increasing my salt intake... Clearing I wasn't taking anywhere near enough because the caffeine overdose I took a year or two later did far more damage to my body than the increased salt intake ever did.

Most victims of salt poisoning are young children who are forcefed the salt in formula, often through a feeding tube which keeps them from throwing it up.

Your body will try everything to make you vomit the salt, as it recognizes the overdose as poison. This is SI at work.

It is almost impossible to ctb this way as an adult.

Sorry.

Maybe it will be interesting. In this video described case of overdosing on soy sauce which is the same as overdosing on salt.
