Method saffron overdose

Hi

An overdoses of saffron is lethal (10 to 20 g). In ancient times it was called the "laughing death". Has anyone heard of a case where saffron was used for suicide? What do you think of saffron as a method of suicide?

I looked it up Ian's the ld50 in animal shows you need at least 20.7 grams pers kilo, at my weight I would need roughly 70 ounces of saffron so yh I don't think the saffron method works for me
