If one bought too long rope for full suspension (8-10 meters) could they just tie additional knots on the anchor point to use excess of the rope? Any downsides to that?

Hello @securit. I have the same question as @Asphyxia. My rope is 12mm.

Just use the length you need. Extra rope at the tie-off end does no harm.

Thanks, @Worndown. My rope is 15 meters long. I plan to use self-tightening slip knots on either end, but I don't know much about knots. On the anchor branch of the tree, I suppose I'll feed the excess rope through the slip knot, or is there an easier way (knot) to gauge the correct length and leave the extra rope on the ground?
