hey everyone. i think i picked a too far out date to ctb, and am now considering going back to the hospital, and possibly wanting long term inpatient. it's very back n forth.

can anyone share some stories from both short term and long term places? tips for convincing yourself to get help? i went to a short term inpatient back in February, but it was only around a week, and i was really just looking for an escape. i'm still making a decision, but i'll probably have it made by tomorrow night if not sooner. i'll update either right before ctb (on my original date, june 9th) or while i'm in the process of hospitalization.

another question as well, if i do go to the hospital i am absolutely not going to tell them i planned on using SN (just for a backup... yknow). what other things could i tell them? i think i'm gonna go with the OD route, but i'd prefer them not having to have my meds locked up after i get out.

my plans for getting out would probably be to move back in with my parents, possibly break up with my boyfriend idk yet. and maybe even still being active on this forum. hope you guys can help me out

I didnt understand what is your primary option of ctb? And how do you plan to take the sn while you are in the hospital?

I've stayed in hospital short term, three months, and I've stayed in a full year. With the longer stays I think you get used to the environment, and depending on your experience, might feel warmer towards staff, and find yourself opening up more.

my method was going to be SN, and i'm rethinking it. i kind of want to get help, and i wouldn't be able to keep myself safe outside of some kind of controlled environment

It's none of their business, but if they're that demanding to know, or it's just easier to lie, say jumping. They can't take away heights when you leave. :)
