It is not fully proved but I believe this report fully. I despise him. (I am German myself.) This is the organization which tells me it is morally wrong to get assisted suicide. They say suicide is a sin, shame them and have done this since centuries. They are one of the main reasons why suicide is so stigmatized and why assiisted suicide is often prohibited. You fucking hypocrites. This is so disgusting. He shielded priests who raped children. This is so fucking disgusting. And in this world he was a role model, admired and loved from so many believers. Honestly fuck him. I don't say all religious people are evil. But he was a leader of an organization with roundabout 1,3 billion members. (Not sure if this number is right. )
He should go to prison for that. But due to fact this in this world there is barely justice he still lives a life in wealth and good health.
Fuck this dude. For me he is now on a similar level like Epstein. Due to the fact he always pretended to be morally superior. Fucking hypocrite.

i understand your criticism but to be fair we have to wait and see if he did know because other sources say he wasn't informed

Whether he did or he didn't (I would guess he did) the catholic church priests, bishops cardinals, religious orders are full of child molesting clergy and have a pattern of coverup, When I had to bring forward my history of abuse by religious order priests, (Stigmatines) even though I and two others had a letter backing me up from one of their high level priests they were able to get very expensive lawers to beat us down. Additionally they played the god card that they were being persecuted for the good that they do. We did get one put on probation for life. The higher ups in the catholic church to this day only care about their money.

I just listened to the news. The most experts think he is guilty. He defended a priest who masturbated in front of children and watched porn in front of them. By the saying because he did not touch them there was no abuse. Disgusting piece of shit.
There was a meeting where he was informed by the sexual abusive priest and shielded him afterwards. He claimed he was not present at this meeting. But it is protocolled that he had information which he only could have when he was in this meeting. There are also other evidences. This priest abused and raped children again after they protected him.
Even with this tiny chance he did not know it. The church and himself are responsible that the presumption of innocence does not count for them.
It is proved that the church lied a thousand times, was not transparent at all and tried to hide these crimes as good as possible in so many cases.

I don't have the Guardian as source. I trust some German media sources where I got the information from initially. But you are right. I don't want to insult someone's religous beliefs. I am just angry because I have met a lot of people in this forum who were sexually abused as minors. Such stories make me pretty mad and increase my sympathy with antinatalism.

Im one of those people who were abused. Took me years to admit that And share it, i know you are not insulting any religion. You just trying to raise awareness. But you did share the guardian if you see it :)
