In today's economy? Who can afford to rent a place by themselves, with out roommates or a significant other also contributing?

I've been renting a house alone for quite some time now, the freedom that you get worth it every penny, i've never lived with roomates, but if you get bad ones that wouldn't be great at all. My advice is if you can financially, go with a house for yourself. Btw, if you're going this way, take care of your mental health, don't drink too much and have some money stashed for emergencies. Alone you can get into the rabbit hole really fast if you don't police yourself, speaking from experience. Take care.
