Buying a gun is getting increasingly difficult in the US. However, there is another method?

Go to a gun range that provides rentals. Present a simple drivers license to show you're over 18, old enough for most places to rent you a shotgun. Usually costs less than $100.

Go to the shooting range, go to your lane, and CTB.

People have done this before, which is why some gun ranges don't let you rent a gun if you're alone (you're required to have a party of 2+). But if you keep looking, you'll eventually find one that doesn't have said requirement.

I am a very pro firearm person and I hate when I see people suggesting this. Not only are you going to competely fuck up multiple people mentally, you're also going to give more fuel to the anti-gun people. On top of that, most likely that range with be shutdown and you will destroy multiple people's lives by taking away their means of income.

If you live in USA or Canada, you have no excuses in legally obtaining your own firearm.

When someone is to CTB, the only people they should be affecting is friends and family. Don't destroy strangers lives because your decisions.

If for whatever reason you can't pass a background check in the US there's online sites like ArmsList that you can meet up with local people in your area and purchase a firearm. Most people only require a bill of sale and for you to show them your ID and then your on your way. However sometimes they wanna see your CCW so they know they aren't selling to a felon. But most of the times that's not the case and if they don't provide you with ammo when you buy it you can simply go to any gun store and buy some as they don't do background checks for ammo.

No one else who is innocent should suffer all because our lives suck. We can't do anything about our loved ones' pain, but we don't have to ruin other lives.
