Venting Rain makes me more depressed

So it's starting to rain now where I am and the clouds of gloom came flying over my head. As much as I love the smell, and the sound of the rain it makes me more depressed. I stood out and let it pour all over me. It was kinda refreshing but then people started to look at me like I'm crazy so I went inside lol

I'm complete opposite, I love the rain. I love just sitting and listening to it as it's so calming, like the ocean!
The smell is also really nice.

It's calming to me as well but idk there's just this sad aspect of it that I never got over.

Well, the whole modern culture made rain associated with sad, depressed things etc. So i would call it only a natural thing, altough you love it. I have the same thing with night. I love the "feel' of night so much, wandering through desolated streets, etc. just pure fact of being capable to observe night is some kind of magic for me, but it also making me quite often incredibly sad over things. Like you know, as if the night were calling to my voidness. But isn't it one of the most human things that we can feel?

Oh yeah, i especially love when there's thunderstorm outside and it's heavy rain making everything feel so calm, yet clearly present.

Heh I'm just depressed all the time regardless of the weather.

I personally feel the same way about the ocean/beach at night. I go there for serenity and peace to think but find myself spinning into dark thoughts
