His magnum opus Everywhere at the End of Time is chilling. It is designed to portray the decaying mind and memories of someone with Alzheimer's.

I made the grave mistake of thinking "oh, this is just ambient music" and sleeping to the album. BIG MISTAKE. I woke up three times in the middle, and by the third time, I woke up in a cold sweat, paralyzed by the horrors and cacophony that was playing into my ears. I couldn't move to turn it off for what felt like an hour. It was intense.

That's how I traumatised myself back in 2019. Everytime I was alone with my thoughts, in a shower, taking a walk, I would be reminded of death and how my memories could just fade away one day and forget all that I am. It was tough. It took me a few months to get over it. I still get in a panic if I accidentally stunble upon The Caretaker music to this day.
