Help questions about SN

I was wondering how long I need to fast before taking the SN, and whether if I can drink water while fasting. some say 48 hours, others say 8 or even 4 Also making sure how much i can keep it before chemical degradation would help too. Any reply would be appreciated.

off the top of my head after eating - 8 hours of fasting
not sure about drinking water though

fasting as little as 8 hours drinking (water) is 2

And 8-10 hour fast for food should be ok.
2 for water.
