Hello all -- I've been researching and trying to put together an exit bag but I'm already running into questions I can't find answers to elsewhere. I'm in sort of a time limit as well, so if anyone can chime in or has suggestions on a comprehensive guide that might answer them I would appreciate it a great deal.

1. I've read that the regulator needs to be set to 15 LPM -- 20 LPM to get the right amount of gas flowing into the bag. But all the regulators I've looked at images of only indicate "PSI" ... am I looking at the wrong kind of regulators or is there some kind of conversion that needs to be done?

2. Does anyone have suggestions on where to purchase the regulators and exactly what kind to get? I see some in the price range as cheap as $40 or so on Amazon ... but as stated above I'm not sure if looking at the wrong models here or what. For instance, is this kind of regulator all one would need to purchase? (This Amazon regulator example is an example of a regulator with a hose attached). Can you really just slide one end of this hose into the bag?

3. Is it best to purchase the kind of regulators with vinyl tubing attached, or is it necessary to purchase the tubing at a hardware store and connect it? The details for connecting it are confusing and contradictory to me ... so if anyone knows a source that can answer this or has personal thoughts please let me know.

4. I've seen people mention that there are videos available online of how to make them -- and I'd like to get some visual examples at this point of what successful bags will look like and how to put them together.

Please also feel free to DM me if you are trying to put together this same method and would like to compare notes at all ...

Thanks again

Ad.1 Yup, most regulators for "technical gases" (at least those proposed by search engines) have only manometers. Usually two, to indicate tank pressure and exit (set) pressure. What you need is regulator with rotameter (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotameter) or similar gas flow measuring device.
Ad.2 You also need to consider gas type you are going to use. From what i gather there are different regulators for different types of gases. I for example aim for N2 tank so I'd need regulator for N2.
Ad.3 Connecting tubing to a regulator isn't that difficult so both options are viable. If you have problem with technicalities, either post a specific problem that causes the confusion and we'll try to clarify it or aim for regulator with tubing already attached.
Ad.4 There are some vids available even on yt describing the process. Just type "exit bag" in the search field.

Thanks so much for responding. I've been searching and searching for some videos on Youtube including with the search term "exit bag," but all I can find are various clips of news pieces talking about them (purposefully unhelpful) and different art projects using the name. Seems like they're intentionally making anything useful hard to find.

So if you or anyone else happens to know of any useful how-tos with images or video that you can point me to, you'd be providing some comfort to a very pain-stricken and lonely person. (But thanks again anyway if not)

Unfortunately, YT filtering gets in the way. Try "Australia's Euthanasia Loophole" instead. This particular vid is not exactly how-to but will give you more insight into process. There's also this thread:

Lots to read and tons of useful info
This one contains link to very useful pdf file:

TBH i thought about making a tutorial vid but i suppose it won't stay long on-line and might get me and my fam into legal problems. Besides i chose to take a bit different approach to exit bag (more info here: https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/3m-mask-as-exit-bag.192815/) so it wouldn't be strictly exit bag tutorial anyway.

Thanks so much. Maybe I could ask you one more question? (am sort of desperate since I'm under a time constraint to get this done). Am searching everywhere to find a nitrogen regulator still but even using the terms flowmeter or rotameter, I can't find anything that shows "Lpm" on the instrument -- not even one photograph anywhere.

When I search for nitrogen "rotameters," the images that come up look nothing like the ones I've seen of regulators -- can't even imagine where or how it would attach to the nitrogen cylinder.

I'm usually good at researching and finding stuff on the internet but I must be missing something here. Can anyone provide a link to an actual device that can be purchased online of the type I need so I can see what they even look like?

Thanks again
