Just want to preface by saying this is aimed for people who have been on this site for a while but truthfully anyone can answer with their experience you can answer any questions or all or even just drop something that you wanna share

1) What's your thoughts on young people like me who are 18 and (in terms of you guys) at the start of our journeys
2) How has the site changed and do you notice new people who stand out
3) Does people leaving this site/ctb ever get less sad or is it always gonna be hard
4) Do you already have preformed clicks with each other and talk about the newbies
5) Do you guys see us as little brothers/sisters or like a new generation or anything like that?
6) Just drop some advice for trying to keep on a good path in life plz <3

So yeah this is just something more lighthearted to hopefully get to know some more about you guys and ss :)

HI!!! I have been on Sanctioned Suicide for going on 8 months. I am 64 years young and I think of EACH and EVERY person here as part of a global family. Same goes for you also. We are ALL the same period. No clicks, or little brothers/sisters, nothing like that at all. For me ths site is all about personal therapy for myself and hopefully others. When I am having a really bad day , I hop on and instantly feel better, becasue everyone here is so nice and understanding. With that said I hope that I am also kind and understanding to my entire global family here. I love, care and have a endless supply of empathy and kindness towards you always!!! Also, WELCOME to Sanctioned Suicide and SUPER HAPPY to have YOU as a new global family memeber!! Walter :hug:

Most use this site as a coping mechanism. To try and find support. Without support, many fall apart.

Some already made up their minds and just want their last days to be as peaceful as possible.

It seems counterintuitive to me, and I was scared to come here and resisted coming here and participating because I have mixed feelings about my own death. It seems counterintuitive that a place that sanctions and freely discusses suicide could help a suicidal person like me live for another day.

Things are really bad and hopeless for me, and - I'm actually laughing and crying as I type this - it feels better to come here. Coming here makes me feel better, and feeling better means I get to live for another day.

I'm 51, but newer to this site. My advice for younger folks would be to get therapy/anti-depressants, whatever early on. I started that process a bit too late. Of course, it may or may not help, but give it a good try first. For me, no cliques or looking at younger folks in a parental type way. Everyone has their own situation and story to tell.

I've been around for a good while and would consider myself an expert-level poster. I am young but due to my ridiculously high level of intelligence, wisdom and life mastery I can safely say that my lived experiences contains several lifetimes of value. My advice would be to pay for pills that will alter your brain chemistry whilst having only negative effects on your psychology.

I'm on this site to be with others in the same place as me, and it saddens me to read that there's so many young people on here who are considering taking their lives but that's their choice and l'm not going to try and talk them out of it! I don't have the right to do that, but l can offer constructive advice gained from my 47yrs on this twisted messed up planet! in the hope that someone will take away something positive from it!

I can for sure tell you something related for with how I feel.

I do not trust psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and probably the majority of all of the other mental health professionals to properly know how to help me with my mental characteristics. .

I do not like to take, and especially to have to take, due to withdrawals etc..., any medications, and I try to avoid them for myself at all costs.

So far, anytime whenever if I ever wanted a medicine all I had to do was tell the prescriber what it was that I was wanting, and then with professional courtesy being discussed together as such with the reasoning, it has been prescribed to me with no real questions asked once I got past the initial discussion.

1) Well, misery loves company, but in an ideal world you wouldn't feel the need for suicide. I do feel that I can't relate to people your age, even though I'm not all that much older. In my depressive apathy I've given up on keeping up with the world.
2) The site has given me a sense of control over my life, now that I have two methods, partial/night-night and CO2, I can go any time I want. The recovery section is always nice to look at in the hopes of lifting my mood.
3) I try not to form attachments here, it's always sad when someone leaves, and I have a hard time dealing with loss.
4) Not sure what you mean.
5) I feel a sense of kinship with the users here, so yes.
6) General advice for recovery, try any kind of 'void meditation' as a quick fix. It doesn't work long term though, I haven't managed to find a long term solution, this side of the roses, at least.

1 - I can't help but feel that a suicidal 18 year old's ideation is just as valid as that of a 60 year old. There has to be an age when you're considered an adult, you can fight in a war and get married so you are entitled to make decisions about your own life, whether you want to continue living it or not.
2 - I've never seen people coerce anyone else to ANYTHING.. but I think the site generally seems more aware that people are watching.. people put disclaimers after their comments etc making sure it doesn't seem like they are encouraging anyone. I think the site used to be more cliquey than it is now. The new people who stand out are ones who don't read the rules and jump in asking for methods.
3 - It depends on the member. By that I mean, sometimes they are clearly so relieved to be ctb that I feel happy for them.. it doesn't feel sad to me, I'm sharing their relief at getting the outcome they wanted. Other members ctb are leaving and talking about how painful their life was, and that they had no other way out.. and then of course the whole thing is tragic. And from the past there's one member in particular I think about and miss a lot.
I think my perspective when members ctb is certainly different from people outside ss.
4 - I've only brought up new members a couple of times when I thought the way they presented themselves was a little off. I don't feel like there are cliques here.
5 - I don't think of younger members as any different from me.. I'm 44.. generally when I interact with members I don't even know how old they are.
6 - Advice? Um.. get a cat? The best free therapy there will ever be.
