• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I saw a new thread in which someone said they bought a shotgun, but I didn't want to hijack their thread with my question...

Without being too specific for privacy concerns, I reside in the midwest US.

If I try to purchase a gun, will my psych ward visit from a year ago prevent me from purchasing it? For context, I did not have a court hearing or anything like that; my therapist simply called the cops on me in the early hours of the morning, and the police said I could either go with them or in an ambulance.

I just can't take being alive anymore, and I need to learn what my options are so that I can begin figuring out a plan. My life is over and it's never getting better. Nothing I try to do ever helps, and nobody can help me. If guns are out of the question because of my medical history, I will need to find another way.

if you were taken in an involuntary hold for 72 hours (5150), then you can no longer purchase a gun for up to 5 years. you can challenge this at the court so you can purchase again, but have a feeling it won't be easy

but just because you were at the hospital doesn't mean you got a 5150 on record -- because they could have taken you to the er, but never check you in their 'psychiatric care.'

Thank you. I decided to revisit this thread and realized I had missed your response.

I am still here because of my parents. But when my parents are gone, the five years should be over by that time, and I can buy a shotgun.

I am never going to be a 9 to 5 slave singing arbeit macht frei. Fuck this place, fuck this life.
