There sure seems to be a change in the air regarding this theme. I hope it continues this away.
Slow and steady.

its been invalidated and passed in ontario for a while now, but for terminal illnesses or when a patient is intolerable pain that violates their right to security and deprives them of living. Suprised it just got passed in quebec. i think though just cause its been a topic thats been talked about legally for years now and its only getting bigger that it might change, definitely a reach though. but definitely not anytime soon.

source for what in specific? i just did an essay for my law class yesterday for the legal discussion surrounding physican assisted suicide last night lol, so the infos just fresh on my mind still i guess. But yeah it was invalidated in a toronto case years ago that actually went to the Supreme Court of Canada as well and found that it invalidated 3 provisions of the Charter rights and thus invalidated found that the three provisions were invalidated because there right to life and security was violated; because it essentially forces someone to abide to illicit means to die, and further causes insufferable pain on someone, as well as forces someone to die way and not live life; as many such as those who have ALS commit suicide way before ALS completely disables them simply because they dont wanna be alive when there completely disabled and non-functioning and in control of themselves anymore, thus commit suicide when they have control. But yeah, the legal discussion surrounding suicide has been increasing id say the past 10 years.

so yeah lemme know what in specific you want a source on. If its the official case itself and the hearing; its Carter v. Canada. https://www.justice.gc.ca/eng/rp-pr/other-autre/ad-am/p1.html
