  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at admin@sanctioned-suicide.net.

does anyone else feel like they are being haunted over the images they see while researching suicide attempts? We shouldnt have to be subjected to this, euthanasia should be available', it would be much less traumatizing than having to do our own "research" to figure out how to do it

This is why I don't watch videos or look at photos. I have seen some by accident when they come up on scientific articles but I quickly scroll on and yeah I wish I don't have to see that shit.

I would never watch those. I'm sure it would traumatize me.

I used to binge videos featuring death of any kind as a form of self harm. It was traumatizing at first, but eventually I got desensitized to it. I'm sorry for what you've had to subject yourself to for the sake of researching your method. I'd advise against watching those videos unless absolutely required.

There's one jumping video that bothers me. I must've watched it 7 or so years ago. I definitely agree that it is beyond cruel what we make people do.

Not really. I used to watch a lot of sick shit you can find on sites like BestGore, when that was still around. But it didn't really have any lasting effects. Getting PTSD from that is a bit of a stretch for me.

I have not seen any of those photos or videos, I stay away from anything like that. I know it would disturb me. To me, it is horrifying how we are denied the option of a peaceful exit and people have to resort to traumatic methods in order to end their suffering. Euthanasia should be legalised everywhere and the right to die should be respected.
