I recently heard about psychogenic death. Someone on here mentioned it. Is it like manifesting your own death? I've tried that before but it didn't work. I'd love to hear more about psychogenic death because it seems like a viable method

No, it's something that results from experiencing very severe trauma. It's does not seem like a good or reliable method.

This article goes more in-depth on what it is:

I mean, let's be real for a moment. If psychogenic death were practical, there would be no need for this forum. Most of us would just give up and die peacefully. Does it happen? Rarely yes. Is it obtainable for most people? Not a chance.

Sounds great in theory but not in reality. I read about this last year and thought it would work for me but no.... i kept waking up every morning sadly.

My grandma may have actually died from this. She died only a week after my grandpa, her husband for over 60 years died. Not sure what his cause of death was but he was definitely very old at that point.

I think this kind of death is only possible if you even remotely care about something or someone severely enough to be this devastated into passing. It's not enough to suffer on a personal level since survival instincts can bullshit all sorts of random ways to keep you alive even through the emotional pain. If one is already too detached from most things in life and able to distract themselves easily, then no amount of trauma or stress will ever be enough to simply will oneself to death since you'll be too accustomed to it by that point. Perhaps it can only be achieved if you already had a relatively great and long life the whole time and something intense shakes that up. Being weaker physically due to something like old age also probably helps as well.

For those who were confused like me:

'Voodoo death,' a term coined by Walter Cannon in 1942, also known as psychogenic or psychosomatic death, refers to the phenomenon of sudden death triggered by a strong emotional shock, such as extreme fear.

While new studies don't specify exactly how a person dies from this, they do confirm that it is indeed possible, particularly in response to traumatic events.

However, can this be used as a method for ctb? It seems unlikely since you can't simply scare yourself to death or deliberately provoke a reaction extreme enough to cause cardiac arrest or heart failure.

Most psychogenic deaths appear to happen after the death of a partner in a long term marriage. There's an element of shock that contributes to it. It's not exactly a "decision", more like total resignation that's somehow different than the millions of people with depression that go to be hoping they don't wake up but still do. I've seen examples of this with emmeshed parent/child relationships as well. There could be some sort of physical symbiosis and harmony that's interrupted from two people living together for decades.

you just have to really give up on everything. if you manage to do this, I'm sure you could also manifest 1.000.000 $ instantly
