Hi.
Having been sectioned, I am in hospital on the isolation ward until my covid swab results come back negative then I will be able to integrate within the communial areas.
I really don't see how this is ment to be helping me! Tomorrow will be the 4th day and I am loosing my mind. I know any efforts to get discharged will be frutile so there's no point in even going there.
I am so bored and feel so confined. My mind is looking to self harm now too but it's impossible.
I don't know what I expect people to say but maybe any ideas to self harm or ctb in here?

I experimented with hanging myself in the psych ward. There's nothing to hang from and no closed doors so I using my bedsheets and tied them in a knot around my neck.
I don't think it's possible and I ended up in self isolation. But then they let me out about three days later.
Not much you can do in there. Just focus on getting out imo.

I've never been to mental hospital, but I'm pretty sure they try to make it really hard to CTB. It's probably possible, but any attempt will have a high failure rate and be unpleasant. I think metal hospitals are one of the worst places to treat mental health problems, and the idea of going to one terrifies me. Good luck on getting out if there. I think you will have a lot more options once your out.

It's hard to selfharm or ctb in a mental health hospital. I tried and got put on 1-2-1 observation and my room was Stripped of everything. Just play there game to get out, hopefully you can socialise abit to pass the time soon

I would just play calm and try to look as normal and happy as possible to just get out of there. Any self harming or suicide attempts will lengthen your stay there.

My passionate curiosity on how psyche wards has been dealing with covid has been answered.

Yeah it can be mind numbing on wards. The miracle was, in my last stay, they finally had WiFi, so I just glued myself to my laptop.

Hopefully you get out and into the company of others soon. People watching in psyche wards is a surefire way to pass the time.

Sorry to hear you got locked up. I wouldn't recommend trying to ctb in there as their job is to stop that. The risk is too high. I would recommend getting yourself out of there asap. Best of luck.

Im sorry you got put in there. Honestly, the situation will be much worse if you self harm or attempt. When I got put inpatient I eventually realized playing the game was the only way to regain my freedom. It's pretty insane to think that we can be imprisoned against our will without actually committing a crime but that's the way the world works. I found that talking about the "epiphanies" I had or what I learned while I was there helped convince them that I was rehabilitated enough to go home.

But honestly if you want to stay in there for a bit there's absolutely nothing wrong with that either. Different things help different people. I hope things improve for you.
