Have you had or noticed problems with Moderators?
(Assuming you're brave enough to voice any issues for fear of retaliation. I made this thread in the "Suggestions and Ideas" sectioned platform but it was moved here. Go figure.)

What happened?

All I see is their profile, like everyone else's, but mods have titles.

No, though I'm still fairly new. All my posts so far have to be approved by a moderator, which is a little annoying, but I also understand they want to make sure I'm not a douche.

Other than someone removing an entire conversation topic from an FC thread while also deleting posts from members that barely mentioned it.
Mods are chill. They keep the site running after all. FOR FREE. Don't be a dick and don't do stuff that could get this site taken down and you will be fine.

I do remember one of your threads which was... provocative to say the least. Mods intervene where necessary. They do a good job.

Someone who owns and/or moderates this forum has every right to delete/move threads. Concept of free speech has limits and sometimes people forget that.

Though I have never seen the mods go full authoritarian, I would support them doing so. This forum is designed for like-minded individuals.

ALL of the folks who keep this site up and running, and like @Myforevercharlie so profoundly stated, they do it for FREE, I for one think that they deserve a huge round of applause and huge THANK YOU's as they are fair, understanding and above all decent humans that are doing ALL of us a huge favor here.

THANK YOU to all the folks who are helping to run this site, so darn nice and wonderful!

I have absolutely no problems with moderation on this site.
Why should I?
There is relatively a lot of freedom on this site compared to other sites (especially mainstream ones).
Of course they don't allow everything, but that's normal. They can't allow everything.
If I want different content, I look at another site. Very simple.
I'm here for specific things.

But by the way, I just wonder who these people are?
Are these people who also want CTB? Are they just fighting for freedom? Or do they fit into both groups?

This is just my off-topic ;).

I haven't had many interactions with the mods, but to me they seem very chill and have worked very hard to keep the site up and running. I find the mods are very flexible and are willing to discuss things, if you have a problem I don't think they are the type to dismiss things. Granted I'm a relatively new user, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I think the mods are kind and I appreciate what they do for our community.

Well if someone is known to have an issue amongst Mods, one could infer that they might receive harsher or unnecessary violations than others that don't voice their concerns with Mods. So yes, retaliation. Unfairly discriminatory.

Why is it "complaining or moaning"? Doesn't it depend on the each individual issue? I don't think it matters if you've been here a day or a year; if a concern has merit it's valid. I thought we were granted such rights when we signed up. No reservation necessary.

Ftr, I've been here for a few months.

This seems unnecessary and incendiary. If you have a problem with a mod you could talk to a different mod. And if the mods collectively functioned as some tyrannical power they could've just removed this post.

I think the mods are doing a great job. I imagine it can't be easy to keep the site functioning, without recompense and while dealing with one's own suicidality and other personal issues.

I've had really good experiences with the mods, they're very friendly and try to deal with things in the most fair and kind way possible while looking at all perspectives of an issue. They clearly want to make it as safe of a space as possible for people to be themselves, and the work they do is part of the reason you hardly see people being awful/toxic on here unlike a lot of sites on the internet

The thing is you don't have to be a dick to have an issue with a Mod? That's an issue in and of itself.

Btw, if you found my post provocative, then I think that was based on the response it generated, because I didn't imagine that post would garner very much attention at all... I really think commenting (at least here) is more so in agreement of a post than anything. I actually had quite a few private mssgs in support who didn't feel comfortable supporting the post publicly for fear of comments of outcry like these. I don't blame them...
If you don't agree with something, why waste your time with it?

I just happened to see another unnecessary, condescending, hypocritical and unprofessional comment of yours before you decided to pull rank on thread and pull the plug on it, but not adding in a snarky comment to fuel the fire you were supposedly trying to extinguish. I just don't appreciate Mods like that and wondered if anyone experienced any kind of issues.
Although the question is pretty self-explanatory. My sister was a Mod for a Q & A back in the 90s. It was a hobby among other things, although an altruistic one. So I'm not unfamiliar.
No, though I'm still fairly new. All my posts so far have to be approved by a moderator, which is a little annoying, but I also understand they want to make sure I'm not a douche.

To everyone whose experience has been pleasant and fair, good to know.

no, I don't think one could infer that.
This comment seems uncalled for and inflammatory. I don't see why asking your peers if they've experienced or have come across an issue with a Mod has to viewed as uncivil? I think that says more about the commenter as it's the comments that create the fire. Haven't had an issue? Great. Move onto the next post. As you were...

If I didn't know any better I would say you've been moaning since the moment you got here. And no dear, afaik, we are not granted such rights when we signed up. It's a privilege that we are given such a platform and a courtesy for you to be grateful and voice your concerns, if any, in a civil manner with a substantial evidence attached directly to the mods and to let them make a judgemental call and do the job they've been doing long before you got here. Yes, way longer than few months, surprise surprise. :)

Well like I said, not everyone will feel comfortable enough to voice what they really feel or have seen/experienced etc, so to me, that's not evidence. Nor would it be evidence if the comments were flooded with discrepancies. It was an individualized question to people who dared to share a concern. Retribution isn't constructive, and people here deal with enough than to feel undue pressure from destructive comments.
Sorry you took this so personally.

"Dear," I've had your comments ignored for some time, as I never agree with them and find them to be contradicting and of no value to me; and as such don't want to come across them so I don't know why I'm even alerted or able to see this unfortunately...

I "moaned" on one thread which was under "Vent..." Otherwise, my comment history isn't private so you're more than welcome to go waste your time and nosy on through it.

My personal issues were "dealt" with, whether to my liking or not. Obviously that was not my question... It was meant others have had issues. I was curious. It's really very simple. It's not a "bitching and moaning" thread or a thread created for patronizing comments. I really don't understand why this is so complicated... and since I can't block you, you can have this one okay? You win.

I am speaking for myself now, but I am a simple person, with my own struggles, with my own demons. I think the difficult nature of our lives reunited us here.
