Maybe an unpopular opinion here but I don't think we reserve the right to complain and moan about how things are run when we've only been here a minute, from the comfort of our bed, having contributed little to none to the community
Who is "complaining or moaning"? It's a question.
Ftr, I've been here for a few months.
Other than someone removing an entire conversation topic from an FC thread while also deleting posts from members that barely mentioned it.
Mods are chill. They keep the site running after all. FOR FREE. Don't be a dick and don't do stuff that could get this site taken down and you will be fine.
I do remember one of your threads which was... provocative to say the least. Mods intervene where necessary. They do a good job.
The thing is you don't have to be a dick to have an issue with a Mod? That's an issue in and of itself.
Btw, if you found my post provocative, then I think that was based on the response it generated, because I didn't imagine that post would garner very much attention at all... I really think commenting (at least here) is more so in agreement of a post than anything. I actually had quite a few private mssgs in support who didn't feel comfortable supporting the post publicly for fear of comments of outcry like these. I don't blame them...
If you don't agree with something, why waste your time with it?
I
If you have a problem with one of us we're just people like you who struggle through life and dedicate our free time to this forum. For free might I add
What's bothering you that you thought it was necessary to make this post?
Maybe you don't always agree with us, which is fine.
But wtf, retaliations?
Enlighten me please
I just happened to see another unnecessary, condescending, hypocritical and unprofessional comment of yours before you decided to pull rank on thread and pull the plug on it, but not adding in a snarky comment to fuel the fire you were supposedly trying to extinguish. I just don't appreciate Mods like that and wondered if anyone experienced any kind of issues.
Although the question is pretty self-explanatory. My sister was a Mod for a Q & A back in the 90s. It was a hobby among other things, although an altruistic one. So I'm not unfamiliar.
No, though I'm still fairly new. All my posts so far have to be approved by a moderator, which is a little annoying, but I also understand they want to make sure I'm not a douche.

To everyone whose experience has been pleasant and fair, good to know.
This seems unnecessary and incendiary. If you have a problem with a mod you could talk to a different mod. And if the mods collectively functioned as a tyranny they could've just removed this post.
I think the mods are doing a great job. I imagine it can't be easy to keep the site functioning, without recompense and while dealing with one's own suicidality and other personal issues.
no, I don't think one could infer that.
This comment seems uncalled for and inflammatory. I don't see why asking your peers if they've experienced or have come across an issue with a Mod has to viewed as uncivil? I think that says more about the commenter as it's the comments that create the fire. Haven't had an issue? Great. Move onto the next post. As you were...
