-Book for two nights for ample time to die
-Put DND notice on doorhandle
-Put padlock on door to be sure room cleaning won't ignore DND and enter room (or is this not a good idea? I assume they would have a tool to open it when your check out time has passed and it's still locked?)
-TV off, ideally I'd like to have it on playing music or something, but once I was at a hotel and the TV malfunctioned, the volume went to the max by itself (extremely loud) and wouldn't shut off, I had to rip out the power cord to get it to shut off. I'd be paranoid something like that would happen while I'm passed out and would attract attention.

Anything else?

What kind of hotel is best, would it matter at all? Does it matter whether the doors access the outside directly, or is a hotel where you have to go inside better? Cheap vs higher end? Part of me would want to do it at a nicer hotel so I could potentially be a ghost there.

Definitely better to be a ghost at a nicer place.

Theres procedures for hotel staff if a guest is found dead. But I'd still do it in a way that limits the trauma of finding a body. Leaving a tip for the cleaning staff (likely people who'd find you) is a good idea. As well as covering your body and indicating your ctb, even just a note to call authorities etc.

Man I really liked reading that, especially being a ghost in a nice hotel. Sounds comforting.

I wouldn't worry much about putting a padlock on the door as N will cause death in less than 24 hours.
However, if you can figure out a way to barricade the door (idk how, maybe put super glue on it), by all means do it.
Good luck.

Would doing it an an old historic hotel be a bad idea? One of those smaller hotels (not a B&B though) that still uses actual keys on the doors instead of cards. I imagine the sound proofing wouldn't be as good there as it would a modern place?

I wonder if the people who work at a hotel like that would be more nosy and wonder about a guest who never leaves the room (if they notice those things at all)

I'd do it at a large hotel. I read an article about how when people die in a room the hotel has to remodel the whole room and that smaller hotels struggle to foot that bill. Chain hotels are fine

Alright I've gotten hotels all the time.

You are better off getting a mid class or high end hotel. Any shit area will be infested with druggies and cops so avoid it. Shit walls and small rooms so people are more likely to hear you and be nosey. The staff won't be suspicious of you either and will be more likely to leave you alone at the higher end hotels.

You dont have to put a padlock on the door but make sure the do not disturb is up.
Staff won't try to clean until next morning after you checked in so have the do not disturb and they will likely wait until your check out time to try to force themselves in.

I leave the tv on but yae malfunctions can happen so i would leave it off if you want.

Sometimes they ask where you prefer upstairs or down on different floors. Try to get high floor so if anyway they someone get to you before you die it will take them longer to be able to save you.

So basically get a high end hotel preferably at on a high floor in a crowded area so it's less likely of suspicion and less likely for them to save you if they do somehow get to you before death.

That's very useful, thanks. One last question, is it necessary to book for two nights?

Depends on when you plan on taking the N. Personally i would do 2 days so you have the first night to yourself to enjoy your last day and really consider everything and prepare. Then take it later so you have a whole day for you to die with nobody looking for you.

If you want to take the N right away when you check in then there is really no need for 2 days.

Wouldn't that only apply to gun deaths? Overdose or hanging wouldn't be extensive to clean

Depends on how long they take to find you. Once you die all your muscles will likely relax including the ones keeping your bowels in

What time do the maids come in if you stay in a hotel for one night? N isn't my method and I should be dead by morning (as I'll ctb the same night I check in), but I just want to be safe. If it's just for one night, do they wait until you leave?

I m living in a city not that big, even if its capital city. My concern is the only hotels I could be ghost are way too expensive.
So I will go to medium priced hotel, what bothers me is that here the tourism only started few years ago, so they are too friendly and personal, cuz most of costumers are from this country. which I dont want, cuz I hate to chitchat and then he finds I went straight to kms. It would be soo fake.
I checked some news ,no deaths in the hotels happening here :( I found only 5 years ago someone from this country ctb in bordering country in big city in the hotel. But here thigns like that dont happen. After my ctb, this hotel I chose probably will become well known, cuz its such a rarity
I hate to be the first

Do hotel staff have a way to open a door that's locked with the padlock from the inside, or do they have to physically break down the door?

Or even if you don't. I was once rescued from a failed attempt whilst in a third-floor room, it just so happened that my neighbour had decided at that very moment that he would kindly get on some ladders and clean my guttering.

I plan to book 2 nights and ctb on the first night. Undecided on method yet...either N or gas.
Probably a nice hotel since money is no object.

And he had to be a damn praugh lyfer, didn't he? Ffs. He couldn't just realise what you were doing and leave you. Inconsiderate and selfish I call that.

It's obvious @johnny must have ctb peacefully as he hasn't posted for a few days. RIP @johnny

I wonder if he did go for chocolate or alcohol in the end?
