Was prepping for my SN bus last Friday and had fasted for two days prior. I took some post op pain killers (tramadol) with Meto, some trazodone and about an hr in I was in and out of consciousness. Fell asleep before I could attempt and decided to post pone the bus for a bit longer. I could've definitely seen myself overcoming SI and slipping out of consciousness quickly if I had taken the SN afterwords. Seems like a very peaceful way to go had I gone through with it.

wasn't sure if trazodone would do much but i think it made a noticeable difference. Im usually very tolerant of any sort of sleeping aid but this one nearly knocked me out fairly quickly.

Yea, trazadone knocks me the f out, too. If your goal is to take the SN and then immediately go to sleep, take some benadryl with the trazadone. Adding benadryl should make you sleep even faster, maybe take 2 or 3.

I have such bad insomnia that I take the highest dose of Trazadone (along with other sleeping meds) and I still lay awake all night long. It is painful

Sounds like hell dude. Does your insomnia make you suicidal? Does any drug help you sleep? What about ambien or benzos?

Sleep is one of the few things I enjoy, a temporary escape every night. Take that away, I don't know what I'd do.

Trazadone knocks me out as well. Though sometimes I have to take 1 at bedtime, and then another at around 2am or so.

Sleep used to be an escape from depression/anxiety etc. Then I was sexually assaulted and sleep is next to impossible. I get about 3-4 hours in two days. My body is on high alert at all times - especially when I get into bed. I use benzos (more than prescribed and I run out) as well as zopiclone as well as gravol and xanax. I still lay in bed shaking from anxiety. I am going to ask my Dr for more but I highly doubt I will be given more. Ativan in high doses is the only thing that helps at all. I hate it so much and getting no sleep makes me feel like I am losing my mind. It increases my suicidal thoughts. If I do fall asleep I immediately am overcome with dread the second I wake.

No wonder I want to die and just "sleep" forever.

I thought Benadryl was not recommended with SN?
