Uh, whatever floats your boat man. Although...it's probably not a good idea to be doing that all day for health reasons anyway. What exactly is it about porn that's making you suicidal? It's pretty normal to watch porn sometimes even for long stretches of time. What's less normal is feeling suicidal after doing so. Are you just ashamed you spent a whole day on it?

Out of all the things you listed above, the only thing that isn't "normal" is feeling suicidal in the first place. And it is very normal to limit yourself to filling your most basic needs and finding the most basic sources of comfort when you're depressed. Porn, junk food, staying in bed all day, alcohol, weed, blowing money on dumb shit like pay-to-play videogames - that's all normal when you're feeling really, really low.
Now the real question is why you're feeling so low in the first place?

I don't think it's abnormal to watch a lot of porn when you're really depressed. I'm assuming you don't mean you're suicidal because of this, just that you do it when you are?

I'm more of a tits guy tbh. In any case I think excessive consuming of porn is more likely to be a sympton of the same thing that makes you want to ctb (like loneliness for example). Is this the case for you too?

I think when you're suicidal and depressed you need to find some distractions to make days less hellish.

For you it's porn and jerking off and that's okay. You'not hurting anybody.

For some others, distractions might be working out, playing video games, etc.

While I agree that the behaviour is a perfectly normal reaction to stress i.e. seeking distraction and the dopamine high ... there is an element of risk in any behaviour that becomes obsessive.
Obsessive consumption of porn, or anything else, may result in compounding levels of stress due to feelings of guilt and shame and possible neglect of responsibilities etc

Im not here to debate the ethics of porn but if you can getting outside, limiting the amount and putting a time limit on your consumption are possibly good ideas if theyre possible for you.

Yes, it's normal (I hate that word). But, it is a completely valid reason to ctb as well. It is a factor for me, I have become addicted in a way. It hasn't impacted me un the sense that I will get turned on in public, or disgrace or abuse any gender because of sex or porn. But in the shadows, like most of my problems, it just makes me feel sad. But, if you want to, enjoy yourself. But be careful.

I still think porn is really unhealthy because it is self-humiliating in a way. I'm pretty sure people lose their self-esteem because of that. It was my case. You only see people with perfect bodies, while you're aware you're not having a real partner. Not to mention the loss of intimacy of people filmed, but it isn't the subject. With regard to normality, well, it's relative to the society you're living in. Westeners are going to say it's normal, while someone living in the Middle East is going to say it's a major sin most of the time. And I do believe porn contributes to unhappiness and perhaps to suicidal thoughts for some people.

We're not talking about that here, we're talking about porn.
Seeing people with perfect bodies have real sex while probably being single and alone in our flat is unhealthy.

Inmy opinion porn is a good way of decreasing sexual tension when there's no hope you'll ever get girlfriend/boyfriend. Too much is unhealthy as everything overdosed but in some situation it helps ease the pain. It's a similar thing with opioids - when you're generally healthy it leads to addiction but when you're terminally ill it simply makes your last time on earth more bearable.
