I go with maybe. In front of my friends I defend SaSu. And they sort of agree with my takes. Lol.

In a different environment it is a difficult question. I see myself defending suicide forums in general. I think I did that in front of therapists. But I did not mention SaSu. Also to prevent getting identified/doxxed.

Yes.

SaSu really helped me through very difficult times. It's a pillar in my life!

I am pretty sure I would. However, I would do my best not to imply that I am a member, but it depends on the circumstances and what they find out.

I actually am willing if it ever happens to admit to lurking on here at one time and that's how I learned about Visine, which I used in one of my attempts (stupid)

I have thought about this before and I really want my response to also be to just leave everyone alone there. They are pro-choice not pro suicide.

No, I wouldn't. It's futile to try and defend SS in public since most people's views on this site and on suicide in general can't ever be changed due to how strongly they cling on to their beliefs. Arguing with them about SS is a losing battle since none of them are open minded

No. There really isn't anything to defend. The site is what it is. There are both good and bad things about this site. People can think for themselves and draw their own conclusions based on what they see.

I would probably impulsively defend this form just cus people that view suicide as something always invalid makes me so enraged. I rarely get angry at much but this one thing i can't control my anger with.

I always promote this site but people think it's all about suicide and we all cheer everyone on. I stopped because people don't understand. But I will never be ashamed of this site. It actually prevents me from ctbing. How ironic huh lol. All the methods I thought were great options, I see aren't.

Most probably. The tricky grey area would be when the conversation turns to minors being on here- which I expect it would. People against the site would no doubt bring up the most extreme and (debatably) vulnerable cases.

I likely would but not in the lens as a member. I guess it also depends on the situation. With friends? Yes. With family? definitely not. Online? Yes. With strangers irl? Probably not.

SaSu and suicide forums in general are misunderstood and misrepresented but I know I'm never going to change the public's mind. I'll defend it from the viewpoint that people deserve to make their own choices and communities like these give home to the homeless, so to speak. But I would be vague as to not let them think I'm a member.

If I was invited on to a TV show because it was found out I was a member of this site, I would defend it the best I could.

This site is not the evil place the general public makes it out to be. Sure, we've had people on the site that ctb, but that was done by their own decision. They didn't have their arms twisted to do so

That being said, the positive thing I can say about SaSu, is it is the only place probably 90% of us can feel comfortable expressing our feelings without the threat of being sanctioned, or being rejected by family and friends.

I feel more comfortable here expressing my feelings than I would a therapist.

Who would know and understand your feelings better? A person who went to college for a degree in psychology, or a person who goes through the same emotions as you?

No one in irl knows I'm go this site and I'm afraid if Ii do defend this site they will suspect that I'm on it.

I was a member of ash and I did tell my counsellor about it and she told me it's malicious but I defend it

No, because I wouldn't want people spewing vitriol at me, or testing my patience. It's a waste of time anyway.

I would certainly defend this site and other similar sites. However, I wouldn't admit to most people that I am hanging out here. The exception are close friends and my boy-friend who actually know I used to be on similar sites prior and who know me well enough that they wouldn't be surprised to know I am here.

Maybe, incidentally peoples minds can't be changed who view suicide as taboo and there's no reasoning with them. I don't think anyone in real life knows I'm using SS and I don't want people to know.

No, I don't want people to know I have an account here and if I'll talk about this topic it might raise suspicion.
This is my last place to revel myself at without thinking too much on the consequence of telling the truth.
I'm too paranoid to open up about this topic.

I voted " maybe" simply because I don't want anyone to find out I'm on here, and I don't think I could defend it without at least strongly implying that I spent a lot of time.
I still probably would, fuck it
