I was sorted into hufflepuff...as usual. I dress up as a slytherin every year for halloween because you're supposed to dress as something you're not right? And I have a slytherin wall hanging lol.

Nice poll! : ) I voted before reading the instructions, and declared myself sorted into Gryffindor, like it's just a done deal in life. I love Harry Potter very much, I read my first HP book when I was 13 (18 years ago). Have the box sets of the books and movies, and I've watched the movies a million times :D They have been like a comfort blanket to me in my life. (Need to feel comforted? Need to make life feel a little nostalgic and magical? Watch HP...)

I never read the books but I saw all 8 movies in the movie theater and I have probably seen them all another 3 times on DVD I remember seeing one of them on opening night. It was a Wednesday night midnight showing... It was showing on 5 different screens all at midnight at that particular theater. What I couldn't believe and thought was funny was that the theater I was in was totally filled with elementary school kids I saw the school buses outside in the parking lot. It was a school night and I was thinking what kind of awesome school takes it's kids to a midnight showing of a Harry Potter movie for a field trip !

Hm. Way more of an even split between the answers than I would have assumed. I thought most people here would go for Ravenclaw and Slytherin. As for me, I would want Gryffindor, but I am pretty obviously a Ravenclaw given my life experiences. Maybe I was more Gryffindor when I was a kid, but I'm not as consistently good and selfless as I was back then, so yeah.

I always get Slytherin - I like a lot of their traits but it's a hard house to identify with because Rowling characterized every Slytherin as a bully or a wizard nazi. It's also where everyone put their edgy goffick OCs back in the day so it's hard to do the house pride thing without being looked at as a tryhard. That's probably died off a bit by now, though. I wish it was given more depth or variation in the original series. It got a little bit of it with the later addition of my boy Slughorn, who was kind but flawed.

Pottermore put me in Hufflepuff before the quiz revision and I always thought that house was so cute! There's just not a lot of characters to look up to. I always forget Lupin and Tonks were in Hufflepuff because so many of the good guys are Gryffindors. They were fine but their actions at the end of book 7 made me hate them. Cedric was just kind of there. Zacharias Smith was just the "rude, dissenting opinion guy" until he pulled a George Costanza during the Battle of Hogwarts. What a legend.

You always get Slytherin, but Pottermore put you in Hufflepuff? That's weird. Mine always alternate between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. Pottermore put me in Ravenclaw. Also, I thought Lupin was in Gryffindor?

Can't believe I was sorted into Hufflepuff. I've taken a bunch of these quizzes through the years and I think I've been sorted to every house BUT Hufflepuff multiple times. Never Hufflepuff before. Very strange.

I have some wonderful memories of watching Harry Potter with my sons. I just got sad.. I have all the dvd's in the living room. Older son died 3 years ago and younger one moved out a yr and a half ago. When I go see my younger son I must remember to bring all these movies so we can watch them again.

Yes, I'd love to have seen more depths for those evil characters. I was always so bummed out that most of the books consisted of Gryffindor pupils doing stuff. Another thing that also made me mad was Gryffindor winning literally all the time (Quidditch, House cups...etc.).
