I usually stay away from the news because giving it attention is the most useless and counterproductive thing to do. ever.

but this time I couldn't resist checking it and first thing I click on is a video of retarded French journalists smiling while talking about a potential war of Otan against Russia.

journalists all over the fucking world are talking about war like it's nothing. Fuck this world. Fuck Russia. Fuck the US. Fuck China. Fuck France. And their allies.

I have officially lost respect for the very concept of "governement". I can't believe people are saying "those who want peace should prepare for war", people actually think those are wise words?

Now of course, technocrats will seize this opportunity to impose their views and ideologies. Fuck technocrats. You will also have religious morons profit from the zizany to attract more morons. Fuck religion.

I can't believe how people are talking about war so lightly like it's nothing. This world is truly pathetic.

A war? Against Russia? Are they insane? I had no idea this was happening. I knew that the democrats would start a war sometime or pick with some other country. That's what they do. And if Hilary had gained years ago I think we would be having a world war 3 In my opinion. Like this virus is t enough, how they going to fight? With masks…..sigh. I very highly doubt there's gonna be a big escalation like a (world) war. It's simply in no ones interest for that to happen, least of all Russia's. Russia is still very economically dependent on Europe and other countries (export of oil and natural gas). I think all the provocations from Russia maybe stem from still feeling resentful about the fall of the Soviet Union and the associated reduced power. They want back what they feel like is theirs maybe.
I think if Russia really does invade Ukraine there won't be a full on world war, there would be sanctions, heavy sanctions, but no declaration of war.

In general, globalization, the general development of economy and advancements of technology and many other things make it seem very unlikely to me that there will be some big war between "highly developed" countries. It's simply in on ones interest, and maybe the population would even oppose it.

And that is without even considering the weapons such a war would be fought with and their consequences.

But who knows, humans are stupid and irrational to absolutely insane, so I also wouldn't rule it out completely. And I'm anything but an expert on such matters.​

Capitalism is a death cult. US and NATO still relying on Cold War anti USSR rhetoric. I personally think this is all sabre rattling, Russia is exposing the hypocrisy of the west, mainly US in general. All Russia has done is mobilize troops within their own border, meanwhile the US has hundreds of bases throughout the world, toppled and destroyed several countries, all in the name of 'fighting socialism' and for resource/market control. The media hypes this up A)for profits and clicks, and B) to manufacture consent in the off chance things to go hot, it increases the likelihood of enough support from the general population. Though As others have stated, wars between super powers are unlikely, at least until climate change really accelerates, then the ruling elite might have incentives to take massive risks to placate the starved and deprived masses.
