A question for UK law buffs. Do police have the right to search your home for your method (SN in my case) and confiscate it from you? I want to phone the Samaritans to ask them if they'd sit with me on the phone when my bus comes and check if they are obliged to call an ambulance or respect my wishes, but am slightly nervous that by initiating that call I might end up with a police visit and lose my supply. I've been lucky to have had no trouble getting the drugs I need and would be gutted to lose them as it sounds like they're harder to get at the moment.

I can't answer to UK search and seizure, I would assume they would need a warrant and if they show up without one you can tell them to fuck off, based on previous posts about this kind of question, but hopefully someone who knows will speak up. You can also Google UK search and seizure laws and rights.

With regard to Samaritans, they say they'll sit with you on the phone while you ctb, but I wouldn't trust it. It's too easy for someone's location to be tracked. Even if they block their number, if Samaritans have a relationship with the police and choose to get them involved, someone could come knocking. I guess you have to weigh out how important it is to you to not be alone vs risking getting interrupted and hospitalized.

Considering it's legal to own SN I can't see them being able to take it without you willingly giving it to them. If you're that scared about it, I would recommend hiding it somewhere safe.
Not too sure about the Samaritan question. But it wouldn't surprise me if they contacted the police and got them to trace your number and pay you a visit.

In the US, they'd undoubtedly contact the police if you stated that you were at imminent risk. Even blocked numbers can be reverse-traced. I'm not sure how the UK works but I can't imagine they'd sit by and do nothing.

Don't do the samaritans thing, they'll contact the police & use the gps in your phone to figure out where you are & get you. Even if you've already downed it you'll just end up in A&E revived.

Best bet if you need that thing you're looking for is to ask someone on here, I'm sure they'll oblige.

The Samaritans are obliged to call the relevant authorities to order a wellbeing check :(

The police can and will confiscate your sn if they suspect your life is in danger.
They tried but failed to get mine.

When I made a shit attempt to ctb by drinking chemicals I phoned the samaritans just before to see if they could find any reason for me not to. I guess I was being impulsive, didn't really want to hurt my family but just wanted to get the hell out of here.

I told them what I was about to do. We talked about my life. He said he was really upset to hear my plan, I said I had to get on with it so I was going. That was it. I went ahead.

Nothing via that call went any further, I'm alive because I then made some stupid decisions in my confusion about how the world works....I'm too paranoid to be specific. But the samaritans do do anything. Shout do though.

I agree with the first paragraph. Samaritans may or may not do that, but is it worth the risk?

Not sure if the second paragraph refers to having another member on the phone or Skype, etc. during ctb or referring to getting meds from another. I would caution against that for both OP and the other member, one because scams happen; two, the sender can be charged as assisting/abetting if law enforcement is motivated to investigate.

do you mean they looked for it and couldn't find it? Or you wouldn't let them in?

I wouldn't phone them keep it to yourself, you might find some one on SS who will talk to you in your final moments, here is an older link where someone in the UK had a Police search so there are all kinds of helpful advice.
