Hei. Do you have any acquaintances - at least one person, other than your parents, whom you met in real life twice over the past year, not for the sake of work/study. Well, for example, go for a walk, to a store, to an exhibition, on a hike, or to a movie or a cafe, and so on, I hope you understand. I don't specifically write - friend, because this is an ultra subjective concept. But for this super objective sociological survey there is a clear quantitative definition of acquaintance - to purposefully meet twice in 2023 in real life in an informal setting.

this was literally the only year in the past ~8yrs i went out on my own. and even then, i stopped because im waiting to come back to different locks on the doors
i dont feel like im allowed to go out. but he says i am
abusive situations; completely out of said persons control
not really saying anything about your poll, dont take it personally. just stating because thats my situation.

Interestingly, all three votes from people (or ) who do not have a single acquaintance came in the first minute of the survey. Apparently these are honest voices from totally lonely people who sit on this forum around the clock for the noble goal of erasing the inscription on the F5 button (just like me)

My only acquaintance other than my parents is my cousin but I do honestly enjoy hanging out with him.

There is no one for emergency contact.

But I realized that strength is born only in solitude. As soon as I ask another person to do something instead of doing it myself, I become weaker, stupider, more cowardly, and the one whom I asked to do it becomes stronger, smarter, braver. (note to girls)

I haven't had any acquaintances for many years. I started taking long walks alone, then I started practicing on the horizontal bars alone, then I started running alone, then I started visiting museums alone, then I started drawing alone, then I started playing music alone, then I started go camping alone. Muahaha - last year I went on a 25-day solo trekking without access to people, to one of the most remote and inaccessible high mountain plateaus in Mordor. If only I could learn how to earn decent money alone...

And you know, friend, I don't respect social people. I'm not interested in socially adapted people. If a fairytale miracle happens and I find the woman I love, she will be as strong, smart, and brave a loner as I am (and to celebrate we will commit couple suicide ahahaa)

No one deserves to suffer dear friend. And loneliness is very painful. Suffering is an absolute evil. The absence of suffering is good. The idea that suffering can be justified is bullshit from asshole optimists.
