Please don't mention this place

Hi all.

This is probably common sense for most people but I think it should be said. It occurred to me that while most users would never mention this site, it's possible that some might mention it to a doctor, a friend or in a suicide note or similar. Probably with good intentions, just mentioning how much it helped or something like that.

But I feel that if the police get hold of that information when investigating that person's death, there is a chance they will want to investigate the users that interacted with that person prior to their death. And if one of us gave them direct advice on how to ctb, things could get serious.

So please, try to keep this site a secret.

I wouldn't compromise the viability of this forum, personally. Plus I didn't get any methods advice here as I know pretty much everything about it. I have been using this site on google chrome incognito and did a factory reset.... I'm really hoping this is enough to wipe my history on this phone but I somehow doubt it's enough :-/

I think every website visited goes to the internet provider, so the anonymous chrome protect you from your parents for exemple

My therapist knows I visit a "pro choice" forum (or as she puts it "pro suicide" - we agree to disagree on semantics) but no WAY would I tell her what the site is called. You don't even need to be a member to read posts! Not that it's hard to become a member or anything.

My only human friend knows I visit a suicide-related site, but yeah, not telling him the name of the site. He respects my wish of dying, but he is by no means pro-choice. It is just too risky.

This is by far the best support site I have ever found. I'd never mention it to others. When I finish my manifesto and mail it to every news outlet that I possibly can, NO website will be mentioned - especially not this one.
