There is so much information about partial but little bit about full suspension. When im holding the knot in the air i swallow and the rope gets right into the middle of my adams apple. I read the best thing is to having it higher possible close to the neck but my adams apple is too high up maybe? Or im i doing it wrong?

In your thread title, it says the knot is what's getting under your voicebox? Or just the rope? You'll want the knot directly behind the back of the neck, center top, almost at back of the bottom of the head kind of.

When I've practiced the rope didn't go under my voice box, but it's also uncomfortable to swallow, and so I try not to.

When I do it, it's up like against where my jaw and neck meet and I hold it taught before lowering so that it doesn't slip down as I go to tighten it/lower myself

Also, if you're just practicing, you don't want to use a constricting knot, more like a static loop so it doesn't constrict and incapacitate/kill you before you're ready

Also also, I hope this goes without saying, but don't practice with your rope secured to an achor point. I hold it in my hand, I don't twist it around my hand to help the grip bc that can catch and make it harder to let go once you start passing out

In most cases you will pass out within 15-30 secs with full suspension. The body weight will make sure that blood flow to the brain is restricted in 99% of the cases. If you cannot get your feet on sth or grab sth within a few seconds you will be successful with full suspension.

Just the rope in under the voicebox when i swallow but knot is behind at the neck as you say. I have like a 1 or 2 centimeters of margin from my adams apple to the base of my neck. Maybe im just wrrying too much. I was trying just holding the rope in the air with the rope arroubd my neck, so maybe that was too little pressure.

I hope you can find a position that works for you

Theoretically one could place wrapped socks(or any small amount of padding) at either side of the voicebox. This could put more pressure on the vessels while also taking a little bit of pressure off the trachea, which might be helpful for what's happening?
