Long story short I let it slip that I was severely depressed and suicidal and got committed involuntarily to a psych ward for two weeks. I feel bad because after I got out of the psych ward I have gotten nothing but nice treatment and support from people. My boss immediately put me back on shift even though I vanished for two weeks with zero explanation. Family members and people I live with have offered me lots of kind words, gifts and patience.

Anyone I'm 31 years old with no hope and real purpose for living.

You can always wait after you get the SN. It has good stability when kept correctly (not open, not in heat etc). I'm in no way pushing back on how you're feeling. Only you know when is the best time for you, that's entirely your choice. But just my 2 cents. I'm not one to really ever discourage unless someone is giving off impulsive vibes. Hard to be impulsive with SN considering there's a protocol that needs to be followed. But if you're having complicated feelings, it might be beneficial to sit with them and let things play out in life, at least for a little while. All is up to you, sending hugs<3
