I haven't been in a good place for a long time, I'm planning on cbt'ing within the next week once I am delivered SN.

My main question is that is it wrong to cbt at home? My family has a history of depression/suicide and I don't want to impact them too negatively. My only thought about what I could do is to go hiking as I live quite rurally with lots of places to get away from everything.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I think you should head for somewhere where you feel comfort..If you think you'll impact your family with this thenn just go for hiking..Youu knoww likee spending your last moments with the nature maybe..

I couldn't do it at home, the thought of that mental image I'll leave whoever finds me deeply upsets me. Hiking could be problematic, you could go somewhere nobody ever goes, but Sods law dictates someone probably will the day you do and scupper the attempt.

I'm buggering off to a hotel when I end things, one that's huge and very impersonal, very little chance of being disturbed or bothered or heard until the day I'm meant to check out. By that time I'll have been stiff for a day, or I'm back home after a spectacular failure.

I wouldn't ctb at home because I know it would definitely affect my family. I don't want the home they live in to feel any different since I killed myself on the property. That's why I'm going to do it in my car, somewhere near by like in a park. That way, the police or someone else will find me and my family won't have a mental breakdown in a parking lot. Also if you're leaving a suicide note and you go hiking to do, put a rock over it or something next to your body so it doesn't fly away. Or do it on a day it isn't raining so your note doesn't get wet.

My main priority is to have as little impact on close family members as possible, would rather be found by law enforcement than family, I was planning on leaving a suicide note at home.
